...cardamon...
Great spice. I put it in my tea when I want something a bit special. Never thought of adding that to my vegetables though...

Lasagne? Sure ~ quantities may be a hit and miss but roughly...
Soft fry a large onion in smidgen of olive oil,
generous squirt of garlic puree,
handful of sliced mushroom softened (if liked),
brown off pack of minced beef (300gms I think),
squirt of tomato puree,
good quality tinned chopped toms (about a tin and a half, or one of those cartons of condensed chopped toms with basil and oregano + tin of chopped),
good scattering of mixed herbs, salt and pepper,
beef stock cube,
generous glass and a half of a meaty red wine, shiraz is good ~ it is compulsary to drink the rest of the bottle with the meal
Allow to simmer down for 20 mins or so.
Layer in dish with lasagne sheets, top with cheese sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan. Oven 40 mins or so.
Serve with salad, garlic bread and friends
and more wine *hic*
^ You're welcomeJust checked ~ it's 500g of minced beef, just the usual supermarket packet size. That should make enough easily for 4 people.

Yeah, I always use like 600 grams or so when I make lasagna. But then again, I think my recipe (very similar to yours except I have lots more cheese and no wine in it) serves like 5-6 people atleast.
I had frozen lasagna. It was good.

That's what I love about lasagne ~ you just change it to what you like
Do you put a layer of cheesey sauce in between layers? I find this makes it a bit sloppy?
No, but I did have a Long Island Iced Tea for brunch.Last night's dinner:
I started with an appetizer of Screwdriver, followed by a slightly stronger Screwdriver as my entree, followed my an even stronger Screwdriver for dessert. To drink with my meal I had a Screwdriver, and I then had a Screwdriver as an after-dinner cocktail.![]()
Did you have a screwdriver for pudding and wash it down with a bottle of wine?
