Wow...

Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both lost on the same day?! That's two pop icons gone in one blow!

MJ -- as an adult -- was a freak but he was very talented and we've lost a singular talent today. If he really was a pedophile he's answering for that now I am sure.

But, before all that went down -- when he was a kid and up until Thriller he was definitely the "King of Pop".

Nobody can take that away from him.

Anyway, enough with the distractions...the world is falling apart around us. Let's get back to the real news.

Real news? OK. Protests and conflict in Iran was somewhat stopped as people there remember Michael Jackson. I'm compleltey serious.

I've always thought that Jackson's composition (with Lionel Ritchie) "We Are The World" was a dreadful piece of music. Just thought you'd like to know. :shifty:

Not great music...but great impact.

Generating millions of African relief, and then inspiring to create things starting from Live Aid, to even today's "Idol Gives Back". It used the popularity of entertainers to do some good. It may not have been sustained behaviorial changes, but at least it did something.

Liked his old material, shocked that he is dead, amazed at how disgusting people are with their "celebrations" that he is dead.

Society makes me sick. You don't have to like him or his music but to act as if it's time to party because he is dead is disgusting.

RIP Michael,

May you find the peace in death that escaped you in life.

Not gonna stomp on a man's grave, so my view of his latter in life's actions will go unstated but I did like some of his music from the 80's and The Thriller video is still fun to watch.

I couldn't agree more

I was coming out of the movie theater at around 7:00 EST, having seen The Hangover (funny movie, BTW) with my sister and a mutual friend. All of a sudden my sister tells me that she's received numerous text messages saying that Michael Jackson has died. My knee-jerk response was, "You're bullshitting me." We've all gotta go sometime, but I never expected that I would be hearing a eulogy for MJ this soon. "Surreal" doesn't begin to cover it.

What a sad day for the entertainment industry, the families and friends of Farrah Fawcett and of Michael Jackson, and the fans who loved them both so much. :(

He faked his death so he could go back to his home planet. Now, he's going to tour the galaxy with Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix.

Or, so I'd like to think... and foolishly hope... :(

BILLIE JEAN! IS NOT MY LOVER!!! SHE'S JUST A GIRL... WHO THINKS THAT I AM THE ONEEE!!!

BUT THE KID! IS! NOT MY SON!!!!

*does a moonwalk*

RIP Michael
