I think it's because he has such a lean frame, and such a full head of hair, like a child's... you can see in some of those candid photos when he is without make-up that he's a mature man though.

When I see them together in clips, I still think Chris is the older brother and Zach the younger brother. Just something about their interaction.

I don't see that at all. ZQ comes off as the mature, older one in their interviews together. Especially when he starts using his vocabulary skills. He dresses like a dork mixed in with GQ shoots and sometimes takes silly pictures, but he definitely gives an older vibe. It's plenty obvious on Heroes that he fits in with the cast members who are clearly in their 30s. I never thought he was younger. He's a lot more mature-looking than Milo (31) and perhaps about equal with Sendhil (35) and Ali (32) in visual-maturity vibe.

There was never any doubt in my mind at first look that ZQ was older. Even when I first watched Star Trek and didn't know any of these actors' names. It wasn't surprising to me that ZS is also older than CP.

He totally has that early-30s vibe. If anyone comes off young in the film, it's CP (because he is). The one that looks way older than he is is Chris Hemsworth. CH looks older than CP and he's younger (25). Both look late-20s to me.

Actually, I thought ZQ was perhaps a bit too old-looking in his Spock scenes with Amanda. The 5 o'clock shadow wasn't helping.

I haven't been back to this thread for a while. But I thought it prudent to inform you that the heightened levels of image testosterone and poster estrogen intermixing here pose a serious danger of exploding computer screens everywhere.

(LOL)

Spock was supposed to be around 18 in his scenes with Amanda. last I checked, the men I know did sport 5 o'clocks by their mid-teens. :)

I think Zach is a bit wonkier than Chris in interviews, but Chris is the more cynical and Zach the fresher one.

Oh, I agree. Chris is the first one to admit that he's a cynic, and I think Zach's sense of levity (and the fact that he truly appreciates everything that he's gotten in the industry and he loves what he's doing) just makes him seem a lot younger to me.

Luckily, Chris's cynicism is subdued; it seems to impart a circumspection that I find kind of reassuring. To me he is always a monster of attraction.

I see that too. Chris kind of holds back, and then feeds off of Zach's remarks.

Well... I see I'm a little late for the voting... but I would have voted Spock. They were both very attractive and I was torn between them... but the smart sexiness of Spock won in the end.

Interesting. In the interviews I've seen, it seems to me like Chris is the younger brother and Zach is the older. Part of it is because of Zach's rather prolific vocabulary, and it's also because he often seems to lead their discussions. He seems kind of long-winded, and Chris appears content to let him ramble (to an extent :) ). Though, to my amusement, I've seen a few interviews where Chris seems annoyed with Zach. I can't remember where I saw it now, but there was one where Zach corrected Chris multiple times, and Chris finally stopped talking, huffed, and looked down like he wasn't going to talk anymore. Poor guy! :) He recovered gracefully after a few moments, to his credit.

Either way, they're pretty adorable together. :adore:

Chris just seems shy, young and new at this to me in the interviews. Zach is quite a talkative fellow with a large vocabulary--he definitely leads all their interviews. You can tell that Zach is more used to doing interviews than Chris. Now, Chris is certainly a lot more talkative than John Cho and certainly got competitive with Zach in that one game show-like interview they did (though Zach was acting outright hyper).

Yeah, I'm with Tribbles. Zach is the one that comes off as the "older brother" figure.

One of the things that I like about Zach is that he comes off as fairly mature (a few dorky pictures aside). Probably the fact that his brother is a photographer is why he seems to have taken so many photographs.

^ I just LOVE the game show! "MOON-- PLUTO!" Zach was quite determined to win. :D I couldn't stop laughing... and their impressions of Scotty at the end! Too much fun.

With both parents and a grandmother in acting and show business in Hollywood, Chris is not shy and new. He's said that acting is what was discussed at the dinner table at their house. For a typical take-your-son-to-work day, Chris visited the set of ChiPS, where his dad had a regular character. If anything, Chris has a realistic perspective on an acting career.

I think he's pretty patient with Zach in interviews, who tends to run on. It's funny, and I don't think Chris is seriously pouting. He tosses that out casually, and they play off each other.

His parents were in show business, yes, but outside of Princess Diaries 2 (maybe--Julie and Anne were the stars), he hasn't exactly been giving a lot of interviews over his life. It's different watching family in the business than actually being in it and being famous yourself. His parents weren't *that* famous either. He was just a fairly minor Hollywood brat. This movie is a bigger deal, IMO. ZQ's been on a hit show for 3 seasons already. He's been on the celebrity radar in a bigger way for the last few years with way more attention (see the Comic-Con video for who is getting bombarded with attention). This is CP's breakout role. CP has never been truly "bombarded" before.
