I'd likely work on it. This has been fun.
How is Polaris coming along?

Nice to hear you are making progress, Dennis. Did you happen to see the short I made a few weeks ago for the 48 Hour Film Project?I'd likely work on it. This has been fun.
How is Polaris coming along?
Hopefully I'll have some more specifics to announce by the end of July. Our plan is still to shoot the lion's share of the live action in the first week of December, and so far we're on target.
Thanks for asking.![]()
It was TIGHT. I'll post some pix of the shoot over on the thread about the film and talk about what we did for lighting, as I don't want to hickjack this topic!Yeah, I really was impressed and enjoyed it.
Out of curiosity, what was your lighting set-up like there? I'd think it'd be pretty close quarters.
I don't want to speak to the rest of the team, but even if I got my visuals to Jimm today (which I won't), I don't think it will be done next week.
However, as a not-to-distant bystander, I think when this is done it will blow everyone away...It will be more of a work of art than simply an episode.

Ok, that might be setting expectations a little too high...It will be more of a work of art than simply an episode.
I just wanted to step into this thread to express my admiration to the folks who make STARSHIP EXETER. Downloading the completed segments of "The Tressaurian Intersection", I felt like I was watching some hidden, just-uncovered, never-before-seen episode of TOS. The Exeter Studios people really hit the Bull's Eye, more than any other fan-film production I've seen to date. That teaser took my breath away. This is what I was hoping the new Hollywood movie would be like!
I hope the Exeter crew is able to complete their "Tressaurian" voyage soon; I'll be eagerly awaiting the final segment!
Best wishes,
The Wing Man
Well, while WE may not be able to; our GRANDCHILDREN might...(and no, I'm noit trying to imply that it's been a long wait at all....)
