Since Trek XI has nothing to do with the original canon, I don't consider it in any way connected to any of the earlier films. Hence I never intend to rate it alongside TMP-Nemesis.

It might be too early still to rate Star Trek among the other ten, as we haven't had time to "live" with it at home yet. Regardless...

I sort of view these films in classes of enjoyability/re-watch ability. They sort of float between classes as I discover and focus on new things or just get board of them. In fact I think I enjoy the "Spirit" of most of these movies more than I do watching them.

Also, as a side note, I kind of view TMP and Star Trek as being on a different level than the rest. Partially because of their much higher budgets but also their scope. They are the only two which actually make me feel the scale and awesomeness of Space. For example, how the Enterprise can seem so huge and majestic in one scene, and then utterly dwarfed and vulnerable in another.

Right. Because part of the plot doesn't involve events from 2387 in the prime timeline or prime Spock as played by Leonard Nimoy or anything.

I'd give Star Trek a 9, Star Trek: First Contact an 8 and all other Star Trek movies a 3.

[Too Much Fun]

- I think "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", "Star Trek: The Voyage Home", and "Star Trek: First Contact" are still the best ones.

- "Star Trek" is the next best one after those three.

- "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", and "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country", are all very inconsistent and flawed, but okay, though I wouldn't mind if I never saw any of them ever again as one occasionally enjoyable viewing was enough for me.

- I think the other four suck.
