New Indiana Jones Movie in works

I would probably go see another Indiana Jones movie, even though I felt that Kingdom was possibly one of the worst sequels of all time, but I would not go see a Mutt Williams movie.

I love Indy, I loved the last movie, and would love to see more movies.

However, they have been saying this on and off since KotCS came out. Like Indy 4, I'll believe it when I see it.

Ugh, I'm still trying to pretend the LAST one didn't happen.

As much as I'd love to see Spielberg make a real, proper Indy movie again, I just think the odds of that happening are way too small. You-know-who is almost certainly going want to leave his stink all over it.

As long as Ford is in it as the star, I'll at least see it.

Me, too. But I'd rather see the franchise go out on a high note than to die a slow, agonizing death.

There's something to be said for leaving the audience wanting MORE.

I do love Indy so...I just hope I'm not disappointed.

That last movie was OK, but it could've been better.

I wouldn't mind one last sequel--I thought the last film was decent, if not outstanding. Lucas and Spielberg were originally contracted for five Raiders films at the outset, so this would be, in effect, the resolution to that agreement.

Well, considering KOTCS raked in a decent amount of dough despite the middling fan and critical reaction, this isn't too surprising.

Eh, I'm game. I just hope it'll be better than the last one. I mean, I'm not a Crystal Skull hater -- I thought it was okay, but... the Indiana Jones series can do better.

I'll rent it. I still love the OT, even though I've never seen them in the theater. This will save some dough and make it a more fair comparison.

I really hope they make Indiana Jones gruff/badass again. Each proceeding movie has Indiana Jones losing his "edge"

In KOTCS when he's sinking in quicksand he starts lecturing like he's back in school.

In Raiders he was all "No shit" and "Jesus!" Similar to Han Solo, who made an awesome entrance then at the end of Star wars VI he's with Ewoks.

This would need to be acclaimed as a serious improvement on KOTCS before I'd go see it.

I love the character of Indiana Jones (and Ford was easily the best thing about the last one) but for my money, each movie in the series has been less good than its predecessor, culminating in the dull and unnecessary fourth entry. I know most people prefer TLC to TOD but I found TLC to be overly jokey and a retread of ROTLA. TLC was the only one of the original trilogy I saw in the cinema (though I saw KOTCS there) and it just seemed like a roller coaster, non stop movie, with a genuinely scary bad guy.

Definitely agree there. I know some people like to argue that it's only natural that Indy would soften up a bit with age, but there's no reason he had to lose as much of his edge as he did.

Unfortunately with the way Lucas and Spielberg keep surrounding him with more and more family members, that's probably unavoidable. I'd LOVE to see Indy ditch the family stuff altogether in the next movie-- and reclaim that darker and harder edge he had in Raiders-- but after IV we know that's not gonna happen.

I enjoyed Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as well and I would be up for another one with Mutt Williams, Shia in a primary role with Harrison as Indy supporting him with Karen Allen. Kind of like The Last Crusade.
