Primeval Series 3 (Spoilers)

I am not surprise because what they mean is unless there is away for a TV show to have a primmem rate phone number for people to ring they do not want to know.
I know they have no money but i did not watch ITV for agers then they started to try and make decent TV shows but now with all that being stopped i think i will forget itv even there.
I will not be surprise if you will be able to ring soon to guess who did it in taget.

I know, same here. I had a bad feeling when ITV said they were going to focus more on "Entertainment" shows.

ITV's a bunch of wankers. what they really want to do is make more shitty reality shows or talent shows to clog the airwaves. barely does BGT end than fucking X-Factor starts. i'd love for the BBC to turn around and buy it! or Sky!

Exactly, ITV were just starting to turn around, they actually had some stuff I watched over the last few years, now they're dumping it for more shite.
I do hope someone else picks it up, but I doubt anyone has the money lying around. Maybe BBC, it would complete their year round Sci-fi Fantasy saturday evening....

not sure how bigger hit it is, but looking at its International broadcasts section on wikipedia is quite long, and more than a few BBC channels.

maybe BBC WorldWide will buy it, for its international channels, and then maybe air it on the BBC.

I think Spain ending up airing S3 before it aired on ITV 1

So, I have watched all of the episodes. At first I liked Primeval but as time has progressed and characters have been radically changed, killed off, and introduced with no emotional attachment, I have lost interest.

The Claudia Brown case as a good example. Her character was perfectly fine then they radically change her(wipe her from existence) and replace her with Jenny who is suppose to be a public relations person. Then slowly they change Jenny's character back into Claudia's. Jenny was suppose to be engaged. Maybe I missed an episode(do not think so) but whatever happened to her fiance'. The writing on the show could definitely use some improvement. Now she has left the show just when a potential interesting relationship was developing between her and Danny.

It has been a number of episodes since the new military guy has been introduced and I do even recall his name. He serves no purpose whatsoever. I would say get rid of him.

I'm neither surprised nor happy about this. Its one thing to can a show becausew its unpopular, but as expensive as it is it must surely rake it in from export sales and merchandising. Not to mention all the loose ends and un(der)used plot ideas. As others have said ITV is going down the pan. Unless its a talent show, reality show or their precious Corrie and Emmerdale they don't want to know. Its a miracle that it lasted as long as it did. And apparently they want to ditch regional news. On the flip side the Government are talking about aportioning a piece of the licence fee. Also on the subject of Demons which I saw mentioned above, Phillip Glennister was interviewed on Radio 5 either last week or the week before and essentially confirmed it was coming back.

Well I'm sure ITV have just lost another view in me. I can't think of a single thing I watch on ITV1, 3 or 4 at this moment in time. Only Supernatural on ITV2.

There's a few upcoming things I'll watch, but I don't think any of them will be an ongoing thing like The Prisoner and Moonshot.

yes im looking forward to Mooshot, but that is only a one off, other than Supernatural, The Bill & Entourage, there is nothing on ITV for me anymore.

Speaking of Moonshot does anyone know what the BBC is doing to commemorate the moon landings? I think it was in today's Metro but they indicated that the Beeb were doing a few things for it.

Moon season press release.

its a shame neither of them could show that "Moon" movie, which is being discussed elsewhere on this forum, that said im sure ITV 4 will try and use it as an excuse to repeat episodes of Space 1999

Well it's not been released yet has it? And it's not really about the moon landings is it?

well I would guess the timing of the movie is to do with the moon landings, and it is to do with the moon.

fine I just want to see the movie, and im not sure it will be on at my local brand multiplex, so it airing on BBC or ITV would be good for me.

and I would say any program, drama or documentry or even movie about the Moon or human exploration of space, will get dragged out, on the various TV channels to mark this occasion. Hell maybe even that movie about a faked Mars landing, whos name escapes me.
