If he wasn't overshadowed by the young guys and in a clearly purely supportive role, he would shine.
I saw this TV movie eons ago and the water hose scene stuck with meI first saw Bruce starring in a romantic-suspense TV movie some years ago. It's a potboiler, called "Treacherous Beauties" from 1994, with Emma Samms.
They had love scenes in it (he was the protagonist); Bruce in a tux; and many other yummy scenes -- including my personal most memorable one: in the stable with his shirt off, currying a horse. He had a water hose on the horse and was looking pretty wet and naked.
Spock does have a heart, it's just hidden under layers of logic. But when it picks out, oh my!nuSpock...not bad looking, but not exactly my look. And I'd like a heart, too.
I saw this TV movie eons ago and the water hose scene stuck with meThan I kept noticing him in more or less important roles and always thought "Hey, that's the guy from that TV movie!"
I liked the bit about juggling.Very nice. Thanks.I hadn't seen it.
^ Did you happen to see this Q&A clip with Greenwood?
Nah, I was late to bed.Bruce said in an interview that his choice would have been to play Kirk, but that this movie was unfortunately not his generation. What do you think of Bruce playing Kirk? (You are up early.)
Older men are great when they're not jaded or judge you from their past experiences with women. Or even then, they may still be more interesting than younger men. Or maybe you haven't met the right young men.I can't stand the immaturity I see in my own age group. nuKirk was good-looking--but not a suitable match due to immaturity. nuSpock...not bad looking, but not exactly my look. And I'd like a heart, too.
Maybe I see a character like Pike and it gives me some hope that eventually, some guys DO actually develop enough maturity to act civilized. Mostly.
Pike seemed like he was smart, AND had a heart. AND was mature. Hence...being my top pick.
You can be a mature woman in the company of younger men. Some of them are even somewhat mature.I see where you are coming from since I have the same difficulties in the dating game, even worse since I seem to fall for younger guys. So much for maturity.
You can be a mature woman in the company of younger men. Some of them are even somewhat mature. And don't deny yourself younger men. It's flattering, really, when they're into you - for the same reason we may prefer older men: experience... and again, maturity. It works both ways.
When I said "younger men", I meant men of 25 years old or so. They are ten years younger than myself.I said younger men, not little boys.![]()
Did I say I denied myself anything? You can be a mature woman in the company of younger men. Some of them are even somewhat mature. And don't deny yourself younger men. Very wise words my friend.![]()
And I did mean men in their twenties. The whole decade. Don't discriminate, girl! When I said "younger men", I meant men of 25 years old or so. They are ten years younger than myself.I said younger men, not little boys.![]()
Okay, that's too young. We want to avoid the lads who think a thirtysomething woman will be so thankful for the attention that she will make their education.Though I also get hit on by teenagers. It's starting to be a tad disturbing as most of them could biologicaly be my sons![]()
Did I say I denied myself anything?
That's how I know that young and mature men are difficult to come by![]()
Oh my. I really need to watch TOS again.Trying desperately to get back on the topic...I've just seen another TOS episode, "The Cloud Minders". This one I remembered well, even after 20 years. How could you forget Spock hitting on a woman and mentionning Pon Farr to her!
He's already attractive when he's not trying so when he's trying, he's lethal![]()

I have been a big fan of Bruce ever since. It's available on DVD at Amazon.
