They're a beautiful color; his brows particularly emphasize them. I think I still like that one with the orange sweater; it makes his eyes look teal. He must be an autumn. That color is good on him.

It's weird, but I'm logged in and I still get the "protected entry" error message.

You need to join the ontd_startrek community

(I think CD is working on commission for these communities!)

I guess "watching" isn't good enough for looking at protected entries. A lot of ontd_startrek entries are showing up on my Friends page, but not this particular one.

I don't understand why LJ separates joining and watching - if you're watching a community you should be able to see everything. But there you are - you have to actually join to see the protected stuff. I always join rather than watch because I don't want it on my friends page - the odd thing I actually want to see, Crusher Disciple will post here anyway

Yeah, I'm shaking my head on that one, too. And I've been watching all the Trek communities until I joined them yesterday. Makes me wonder what I've been missing for the past month.

Eh, I figure even though most of us are members on ontd and kirk_mccoy they're so busy that you miss half of what does up in a day. If I didn't hate my day job so much that I'm on LJ all day, I'd never catch all that good stuff myself.

I just assumed with the traffic on the communities they wouldn't bother to protect entries. It's not like ontd is a personal journal with lots of personal info. But kirk_mccoy does have some NC 17 posts.

Still, nothing I've gotten from there would qualify as NC 17, so I still don't see why they're protecting them. Oh, well...

Gagh! Now I see a locked icon in front of the post. *raises hand* I vow to always check for one before I post.

And my god strike me down with red matter if I fail.

Some posters at LJ are nervous because of the problems in the past that the site has had with TOSing people, customer service fiascos and the like.

Other than that, other people may just be used to flocking their posts out of habit, or protecting their bandwidth for uploaded pics.

No clue if it's another reason..

Very nice. Thank you. I do that sometimes, a series of screencaps that in a fast enough slide show, pretty much render movement. Speech, for instance. Except there's no sound.
I saved the white suit picture to my album. Wow, not every man can pull the white suit look.

Our boy at the American Film Institue event honouring Michael Douglas with a life time achievement award, on Thursday (11th June).

Shall have to see if I can find a longer view picture so we can properly enjoy his shoulders in a nice suit

And I am pleased to report that Playmates wave 2 action figures will include a McCoy wearing the blue science uniform. I guess I will have to pick this one up at the end of July to add to the collection. Before it is over with I will end up having five McCoys in all! I am not obsessed... am I?

I let google do the searching for me I have to rely on everyone else here for the wonderful videos though!
