I've tried 'em all over the years - IE (since version 3 I think), Firefox, Chrome, Mozilla, Netscape, Lynx...

That said, these days I use Firefox on my main machine, a beautiful 24" iMac. I have a netbook, a Samsung NC10, that has Vista running on it (I had an old copy of Vista that I installed on my main Windows computer which then died, then I bought the iMac - seems the Vista keys die after a year or more of no use) that runs beautifully. Using IE8 on that.

I quite liked Opera for some time.

Edit - IE6 at work.

I usually use Firefox (latest version) but I'm trying out Safari 4 for a little while now. :)

I use Firefox as my main browser, although as a web developer I have just about every other browser out there on Windows, Mac, and Linux for testing.

I'm perplexed by the folks who said they like Chrome better than Safari or vice versa. They use the same rendering engine and fail/succeed in all the same places.

And, as a web developer, I'd like to humbly request that those of you using IE6 upgrade quickly. I'm quite tired of building sites that work fine with every other browser, and then having to use archaic design methods and/or recreate broken stylesheets special for those of you who refuse to move away from your 8-year old antique browser.

Safari was much slower than Chrome for me, thus the preference for Chrome. Safari is much prettier.

Chrome in Windows, Firefox on the Mac and Ubuntu, at least until I can evaluate the native ports of Chrome on those platforms (whenever they're available).

My Mac OS downloaded the Safari 4 update today (I thought I had the Safari 4 update already, but it was just 3.23). I tried it out and it is VERY fast. However, it's still lacking in features compared to Firefox, and I'm not talking about extensions. It's ad handling capabilities are below even the basic setup of Firefox, and while it looks good, it's still a bit clunky in some respects.

Safari, even on a Mac, is slow as molasses to me.

Same here. I gave it a shot, but two minutes of looking at the stuff that Greasemonkey and other extensions block out for me sent me running back to my Firefox.

Normally, I'd agree, but they've done something to Safari 4.

Yeah. It still feels too clunky to be my default browser. Backup? Sure, but that's it.
