what are trifocals?

OMG! Remember that Benjamin Franklin invented bifocal lenses for reading and distance sight? Well trifocals are lenses gradiated in three ways: for reading, mid-distances, and long distances.

bifocals, yes. never knew of the existence of trifocals though. cool to know when I finally need them... they need to have contacts for them. I hope. :techman:

They do have bifocal contact lenses, now. Also, a couple of people I know had laser surgery to correct their long distance vision, and now only wear reading glasses. So, that's an option, too.

Oh, and on topic: How 'bout that box office take?!

I can't stand the idea of it leaving town, and not having a DVD until November.

I'm usually not a fan of extra tracks, but we'll see.

It might get edited back in.

Remember how the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy's director took advantage of the DVD medium to add more footage, to an already longish cinema experience, although the theatrical versions were released on DVD first, weren't they.

We just watched the lengthened Return of the King a couple weeks ago, and it was good. If they did a good job on it and it makes sense, then I'm sure I'd love it.

Yes, the theatrical versions were released first.

I never watch those any more though - just the extended editions, the story is so much better in those. I doubt there's as much extra stuff for Trek as there was for LOTR though (although I would love it if there was!)
