Seems you're the one who can't move on frrom dictating how other people should spend their money and your jealousy of Chelsea's winning ways. Oh well.
Can we go back to talking about football now ? Are you done spamming, trolling and flaming all in one post yet ?
Here would have been a great place to put Garak on ignore, however you couldn't leave it alone. This was such a nice thread until it got overtaken by football hooligans. As you were both asked to quit focusing on one another and as the discussion moved beyond accepted barroom or locker room trash talking you've each earned a red card. Comments to PM.
Well back to football and I can't believe Fergie is letting Frazier Campbell and Darren Gibson both have good futures so If I was Steve Bruce looking for new players at Sunderland get em both. Speaking of Sunderland they are rumored to be buying Darren bent for £10 million, which will be a solid deal especailly if they keep Jones and a strike force of... Bent, Jones & Campbell would set them well. Hell with Heskey seemingly a flop at Villa because well Carew came back from his injury and shown MON what a decent player he is, I can see Sunderland trying to buy Heskey if they lose Jones so they keep some power up front. Another rumor today is Chelsea to buy A.Young for £20 million...NOT A CHANCE, Young will be there for at least next 2 years IMO unless Villa implode after losing Barry (Huddlestone £6 million seems replacement)
Setanta Sports may go in to administration this week. Looks like the SPL, especially, could end up getting screwed over like the Football League was went ITV Digital went. Setanta currently have two packages of FA Premier League games (reduced to one after next season), exclusive rights to the Scottish Premier League, the Blue Square Premier, shared rights to England internationals and the FA Cup with ITV as well as coverage of various European leagues. On top of that, they have a lot of Cricket, Boxing and Golf rights. On top of that there's their recently renamed ESPN (former NASN) channel They are also behind Arsenal, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers' club television channels.
^ Good, they have had a crap plan tried to buy everything quickly without having the cash bunch of idiots. Exclusive ENGLAND & ENGLISH PL rights held by an Irish braodcaster never sat well with me.I guess SKY would get the rights since BBC decided to use all there money tp buy a boring one sided F1 season hey FA how about all ENG games on well you know English TV where 100% of the population can watch. The only good thing about Setanta is they don't do SKY PPV BULLSHIT for boxing and nice to have a Golf channel.
Well now it's now official. Kaka has been sold to Real for a record £57 million (2nd in euro behind Zidane's transfer). Looks like Kaka's £8 million after tax wage and Milan's ridiculous wage bill has finally caused Berlusconi to pull the trigger.
I do wonder where Haye vs Klitschko will end up once it's rescheduled. Sky will have to be careful. The rules still say that they can't buy all the packages unless nobody makes the Premier League a reasonable offer. They have to wait, let everyone else bid tiny sums and then come in with an offer. Then, fingers crossed, Sky will get the full rights to the Premier League back so no more Craig Burley blathering on about how much he hates the big four and never seeing a single foul. Hopefully Sky and the BBC will do a similar deal to Setanta and ITV for the FA Cup and England games as well. BBC gets the home competitive games and away friendlies, Sky gets the away competitive games and home friendlies. There are other players involved. ESPN might be interested. I doubt they would buy Setanta. They would most likely let Setanta fail and then pick up their rights on the cheap.
I think they've been trying to sell him for a while. Berlusconi would have been happy to take Man City's insane offer, but Kaka decided to hold out for a proper football club. Given how quickly it's gone through, I tend to think there must have been tentative contact in January.
I know that Galliani wanted to sell Kaka back in Jan but Berlusconi probably wanted to wait until after the elections. I think Florentino is still going after CR7 next. Real might break the record twice this summer.
I'm pretty sure that's an excellent deal for Milan. Kaka is a great player, but noone's that good. I doubt Milan will have any problem signing several players who can strengthen their squad for that price.
First thing Milan should do is buy Ruud Van Nistlerooy or however you spell one of those awfully long Dutch names Perfect goalscorer and would suit the Italian legaue at his age very well.
We are definitely not buying Ruud. The only people Galliani buys from Spain are washed-up Brazilians. We had all 3 of Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho. If there is any striker we are interested in it'll be Luca Toni but we already have Pato. Right now it's more important that we try to replace Kaka and Lavezzi from Napoli is a potential target.
Ruud can't go to Serie A. You can't have him and Inzaghi in the same league - the linesmen's arms will get sore from all the offsides. So are Madrid going Galactico again?
