I can't find it right now, but TrekMovie's Twitterer has said that those and several others are fakes. I remember reading an interview recently in which Pine said that he doesn't do Twitter at all. I'm guessing that the character ones are also fake; the McCoy one clearly is.

Do it! I'm on there all the time. I use Twitter on my iPhone as a way of blanking out during work meetings. I just tweet away about how much the stuff I'm having to listen to sucks.
