"Urban" as a surname appears to be Austrian. I know Karl's dad is German; don't know about Keith's.

It might have something to do with religion that they settled there. It's said that Australia is a Catholic nation; and Austrians are Catholic, too. Really don't have a clue.

And speaking of Friday, I got paid today so I went on a little toy hunt this afternoon. I picked up the 6" McCoy to go with my 12" one. He looks quite good in his cadet uniform. This one also has more gadgets too. I also did not leave this one in the packaging. I popped him right out the moment I came home! (I also picked up the 6" Spock too.) I also tried to find the 3.5" McCoy (yes he comes in three sizes) but that one was sold out. Maybe next week. I also need to find the 12" Spock. They were out of him too. I am still contemplating getting Kirk. I just don't know if I want to bother since he doesn't even look like Chris. I might post some pictures later if I think about it.

Does McCoy have a Burger King glass? If so I might need to pick that up to so the collection will be complete.

No McCoy doesn't have a BK glass, I wish he did. Hopefully for the DVD release they will... I did pick up the Kirk, Spock and Uhura glasses.

And I got mini-McCoy from BK

I am also seriously thinking about getting Doom from amazon since it's $8, but I keep hearing it sucks...

Just finished watching Bourne Supremacy - they sensibly put Karl at the beginning and the end, so I got sucked into watching the whole thing! Actually it's a good movie and Karl is fabulous (naturally!) - he does make for a very fine bad guy.

For anyone who's seen it - I think he looks stunningly malevolent in the scene in the nightclub. Unfortunately the screen-captures on KarlUrbanOnline do not do it justice, so I can't share a pic.

mr trampledamage also owns Chronicles of Riddick, so I'll be able to enjoy more evil-Karl and then I'm hoping to get to the cinema again to see Trek sometime next week

I have it, I haven't seen it yet... well I've seen the first 10 mins or so and he's gorgeous. I need to sit down and watch it.

Jeri - some of the BKs may still be doing the promotion, but I think it's over now... my BK is done. as a matter of fact even the stores have less ST stuff in them promo wise. Though I did see the ST Eggos yesterday in Target and Rice Krispies with shirt offer.

yep, but they didn't stock much and are mostly sold out from what I'm hearing.

I was in Toys'r'us yesterday, and it was a bit saddening to see all the action figures from all these movies like Star Wars, The Transformers, Terminator Salvation etc etc actually marked on the aisles by name and the Trek stuff just sitting there unmarked.

this is one of the reasons I want this franchise to come back in a big way. wouldn't it be great to see "STAR TREK" actually marked like the others in the action figures aisle? I know I'd be tickled pink.

Target is the same way, the Star Trek toys are just pushed between the Star Wars and Transformers toys... they don't even have a sign. When I first went to look for Bones, it took me a few mins to even find the ST figures.

I still have yet to see the 12" figures in the stores at all. But the tie is stuff was everywhere here for awhile.

you know what they need to sell? the three-pointed Starfleet emblem either as earrings/pendants, or even as keychains etc. gawd, I'd buy those in a jiffy. they need to start merchandising Trek stuff to women now. they need to be a lot more creative than they are.

You know what I really want? A McCoy or ST themed mouse pad... I can't find one, even on ebay. The ones on ebay aren't the new movie, or even TOS.

I want a shot of McCoy and Kirk with crew on a mousepad...

I'd love to have a ST Enterprise or Starfleet keychain too, I was actually thinking about that last night to be honest.
