Re: A Hater Revisits Voyager
"Omega Directive" was an interesting concept that wasn't strong enough to support an episode as it was. Lazy contrivances were used to make the characters feel as they felt, rather than deriving them from natural characteristics. It might have been more interesting had Seven been pursuing the Omega particle as an embodiment of perfection only to realize that she's become something of a religious zealot about it herself (not the Collective) and have some sort of realization.
The "Omega" mission in "Star Trek: Legacy" (the video game) was much more interesting.
"Unforgettable" was also an interesting idea, but just fell flat in so many ways. I honestly can't decide why. It's just... boring. It might have been more interesting if a different approach had been taken to the memory-loss race. Perhaps Chakotay becomes stranded on their planet and keeps forgetting where he is?
Even dear Virginia (who now does Botox Cosmetic commercials, btw) cannot save this episode, my boy.

People, don't hate me, but I somewhat like this one. Mostly because I like the idea of Kellin's race (although I must admit that it didn't make a lot of sense how even tricorder readings can't remember her). I guess it's also because I like Chakotay and get a kick out of seeing Virginia Madsen in Star Trek. I loved her in Sideways!
