Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

It's a wonderful world we live in, where Karl Urban can be admired (ogled) in his Eomer v.McCoy looks.

But as much as I would've thought it unlikely after years of drooling over Rohan hotness, I must now bow to brunette Karl.

And as a previous poster mentioned, scruffy, drunk McCoy is just well, ...

He distracts me from my train of thought.

I know it's highly unlikely, but I just had an image of poor drunk McCoy, waking up from an epic bender, only to see his Starfleet enlistment papers strewn all over the floor- and not even remembering what he'd done until then.

Oh yeah, I can see that happening. And he probably never sobered up between then and getting on the shuttle with Kirk.

I suppose we could call him "brooding". It seems to be applied only to dark haired men- blondes never brood, they sulk.

I don't know... Eomer definitely broods ;)

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

I am liking all these photos. As someone usually says in this kind of thread: "This thread is useless without photos!"

I'm working on getting a load onto Village Photos (have to use them since Photobucket is blocked at work. ). Also, I've been told that he'll be featured in a Hunk of the Week thread on the BBS soon.

One more photo of Karl before I go to bed

This one is from Bourne Supremacy where he plays an assassin named Kirill!

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

While my sexual preferences prevent me from having the  effect I do find it interesting just how different he looks in his other roles. I'm curious to watch something else with him in it after having seen Trek XI.

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

^^ He's almost like a chameleon, able to change his looks to fit the role. Quite amazing.

Thanks so much for the photos!

I am having temporary technical difficulties posting photos related to my usual host mac.com account, because I haven't updated to the latest operating system. I'm going to update pretty soon; I needs my pix.

This one below is my favorite so far. I think I first saw it at -- Trek Core? -- when one of the web masters posted background pix for the cast here. Trek Core is awesome.

Very warm and cozy picture. He looks like he could come out of those soft shirt and jeans any moment. He's already barefoot.

Thanks, dmleo.

Nice photos everyone. I like this one as well.

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

dunno really. because I grew up in India, I tend not to notice the color of eyes. I notice their shape and intensity and "flare", I guess.

I love the look of his eyes. they're so intense... and very sexy.

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

He's also the only thing worth watching in Chronicles of Riddick...
I personally wouldn't say the only thing, but I definitely think he is one of the best things about that movie.

I like him how I like all my men....brunette and/or dark....or course there are always exceptions.

I never heard of him before this movie....shocking to see just how much he's been in.

Everybody loves his portrayal of Bones....have we figured out why yet?
Oh yes because he came the closest of capturing the original spirit of the character made famous by Kelley. So as much as everybody wants to say...Oh no we don't want a re-hash or we don't want them imitating....that's pretty much exactly what we want...hence the high praise for Mccoy being "cast" correctly.

Still think Urban would of made a better Captain too!
