Sweet, just what I was hoping to see when I came by the forum today. 
In looking at the side view, I think the bussard should be a little further out from the housing.

I really like the sketch, the exhausts complete the design. However, if you feel that the end result isn't worth the effort of modeling them, then don't, just texture them instead.

This is really turning out neat. I love your nacelles! I know the design scheme for this Nu trek stuff is pretty different from TOS but i have to say it's really grown on me and I've gotten quite fond of it.
I like the ship logo idea, but I think new canon uses the starfleet logo on everyone's uniform, so maybe a secondary patch or hull marking with the class logo would be cool. Maybe use the new starfleet logo with some extra trimmings, perhaps incorporate something related to the phrase "Carolina", I'd suggest elements of the flag, but which do you go from North or South? haha
I cooked up a ship logo, I've decided that it could be cool to have the ships have their own logo in this universe as well. While it's stretching the new canon, I think it would be cool. Anyone try and guess where the inspiration comes from?
Hmmm, missed this post originally. Looks similar to the Cameron star from the Star League, Battletech. Could also be a variation of the Legion of Superheroes "L" logo.
Cool stuff. Are you going to incorporate the upper shelf in the shuttlebay, or keep it all on the floor?So... Here are some new renders. I've been busy with her on and off, but I've hit a bottleneck in the form of the nacelle pylons. Those are some pretty nasty bast*rds! In the meantime, you'll have to do it with these pics
I'm not sure yet Madman, it depends how much space I have left. This ship is a LOT smaller than the numbers floating around the net for the Enterprise, so I'll have to see how it turns out. I need a shuttle in there from the movie, that's for sure, but I don't know of anyone who made it yet

I've decided to add a big door in the aft of the bridge, making the other circular construction into a toilet / shower, with the conference room doubling as the captain's ready room. This is a small ship, so certain rooms have a double function. I will have to figure outwhat the best way will be to decorate it but that's of later concern.

So are you going to do away with the ready room and MSD and install an Automat like I suggested?
