Will this new Enterprise become Enterprise-A or get a refit?

Cause i'm a fan, I'm interested to know what people think about it. In-universe, if Kirk and them are going on a 5 year mission still then it is possible that after this mission they can do the refit. But because of the timeline change, what if they don't have a 5 year mission anymore, then will the Enterprise ever get her refit?
Hell, we don't even know if this Enterprise is a Constitution class.

Well my money is on the no anwser, for one we have no idea about much of this ship. It already has lcards, and I wouldnt be suprised to see isolinear or bio nureal gel packs aboard the ship even. The Phasers are already pulse phaser cannons, and the shields can take a beating from 24th century weapons. So no id say no need to refit her.
My logic is this, the Mirianda class recived refits, and still failed to protect itself prolonged from modern weapons. Id say this enterprise and a 24th Century Excelsior are a fair fight

I hope not. I hope that this ship sticks around and doesn't get blown up anytime soon.
The Enterprise should be allowed to become a character in the movies just like the people.
If they refit her for the next movie, or blow her up and give break out the -A, how will it ever have that chance?

i mean we know in the series it got a refit after the 5 year mission, but since we are in movie land now and not tv series land, that mission may never happen, or it may
if it never happens like originally, then the question would the ship get a refit might be interesting, cause it may not
yet, maybe by the next movie, or the third, it takes place after a few years in-universe and they have upgraded it, MAYBE even based on old Spock's knowledge

You don't need to assign it a letter to do a refit.
I mean the new design has grown on me, but if they were to swap out the nacelle struts with something that swept back, I wouldn't complain.

Brent, the NCC-1701 was refitted in ST:TMP and retained its original registry number. It was destroyed in ST III. In ST IV, a new Enterprise that looked like the old one, was commissioned with the registry number NCC-1701-A.
The NCC-1701 was never refitted to the NCC-1701-A.
Another thing is, Star Trek takes place in 2258. TMP takes place in the early-2270s of the Prime Timeline. Even if New Trek follows Prime Trek in that respect, it'll be ~15 years before the Enterprise would be refitted. They're not going to do a time-jump like that for ST XII.
To be honest, the new trek creators dont really care too much about the tech, and the ships. They design how it looks, not how it works.

It's a brand new ship so I don't see it getting refit type nacelles or anything different in the future.
Heck in this timeline it might survive a Star Trek III situation and stay with Kirk till he reaches his "Undiscovered Country" mission

I can see it getting refitted if it gets damaged majorly. But I really see no reason to. It's brand-new. Maybe on the second sequel. But it's way to early to be thinking of this. I guess it just shows how fickle we are haha. Personally I always wanted to see the E-J fleshed out better.
