Has TrekLit retconned any REALLY bad canon?

I wish someone would retcon Fair Haven.

Fair Haven may be one of my favorite Voyager episodes . Of course Janeway's claimed that it was "completely authentic" (as if she would know) are ridiculous-- and Tom Paris creates cliche Irish characters, yes... but it's also a nice episode. Ultimately, it really just reminds me that Voyager was in way good of shape for being lost in the Delta Quadrant for that long.

Well, honestly, nothing is quite as bad as people "say". Though this one does come pretty darn close to being that bad.

Saying that TATV was a valentine to the fans is like saying the passengers on the Titanic were a tad inconvenienced.


That said, I do like the bit at the end where Picard, Kirk and Archer offer up the "Space...the final frontier" monologue.

The only remotely good part of the episode, though Archer's delivery is kind of pathetic.

I thought it had some bits that were worthy of a better episode. The crew joking with each other at the beginning, the montages of their chats with Riker-Chef (especially Trip's), Trip's wink right before he went into the imager, T'Pol and Archer's discussion in his quarters while they were going through his things...

All that was really good stuff, and if the rest of the episode was up to that standard (instead of being horrifically contrived and blandtastic) it would've been one of the best episodes of the show.

I really didn't care for the show itself, and I'm pretty sure I saw some of its better episodes. The borg one for example, was that one good by ENT standards cause oh boy did that one suck.

Have you seen any of the last season's mutliparters, IMO they were pretty much the best episodes the show ever had. I'm not a big fan of the Borg one, but some people do like it because it came up in several best of/viewers choice marathons. But then again TATV is a fan choice for the Captain's Log Collective (yeah I've still never figured that one out) so I guess stuff like that isn't always a good way to judge.
