I'm Worried About T'Bonz (New Movie Spoiler)

With T'Bonz's beloved planet destroyed, I worry that we might have an issue on our hands similar to the one Kirk dealt with Spock about: T'Bonz may now be so emotionally unstable due to the sheer pain, that she might need to relieve herself!

If she is incapable of relieving herself, we need someone to trigger her to an emotional action that will either act as an emotional enema or allow us to relieve her.

This is for her good, and the good of the board!

This is a joke, in case you didn't know!

I have a friend on another forum who's depressed and angry because of Romulus. If only I knew how to cheer her up, considering I still want to consider things like Countdown in my own personal view of the official continuity.

I think we might just need to drown our sorrows in some Alternate Universe Romulan Ale.

The real Romulan Ale got blown up by a supernova. :(

T'Bonz, your planet just got destroyed, all of the Romulans gone...What is it like not to feel anger? Or heartbreak? Or the need to stop at nothing to avenge the ale which was super tasty - it must not even compute for you!

You never loved Romulan Ale!

Isn't Bonz supposed to be a Romulan?

And Vulkan is the only planet that bought it and thus Romulus should still exist (it's the past and a different timeline if you watch it from the standpoint of "old Trek").

From what we saw in the movie, nothing happened that will prevent the supernova that caused the whole mess in the first place.

The only way Romulus might be saved is if their foreknowledge of the supernova allows them to find a way to prevent it sooner and avoid the planet's destruction.

if Bonz is incapable of relieving herself, shouldn't she see a doctor? :guffaw:

^ That's exactly what I was thinking. I completely missed the 'of duty' bit! :)

^They, unlike their cousins apparently, had an entire empire. They didn't exist in some cosy Federation, pretty much every planet was populated by Romulans.

Presumably, though, if Romulus was destroyed then so was its sister planet Remus.

Simple solution.....simply make the universe-splitting event not be the time travel itself, but something which occurred prior. In one universe Spock succeeds, in another he fails and goes back in time.

^ But in the new universe it could never happen now. I know it was a bad film, but destroying a planet to prevent it happening is a lot of effort.

Usually a laxative does the trick.

Beautiful.

*grumble!* Both my favorite planets destroyed, one in each timeline.

Nobody better cross me for a while. :vulcan: :D

P.S. T'Bonz is half Romulan-half Vulcan, all attitude. Note the username.

T'Bonz is a Vulcan name. I said in the past that the character was half and half. Old-timers to Misc may remember that.

Just because the Romulan part is predominant...
