Prime Timeline vs. Movie Timeline: Comparative Chronology

Was Chekov's age ever established on screen in TOS?

He claimed to be 22 during "Who Mourns for Adonais".

Beat me to it by 2 minutes
Chekov lies about his age?! I never thought he was that vain!

Seriously, this is probably just one of those things that can't be explained by the time travel. There are a few others too.

...

Well... CAN'T is a pretty strong word. I just thought of a way. But I'm not going to go down that road 'cause it would just prove I'm a scary obsessed Trekkie loser who spends way too much time thinking about this. I'm trying to maintain deniability on that score.

Im not even sure if there is a prime universe any longer. There has been so much branching off, I dont think we have seen a prime story since mid TNG.

You could be right, but hey, I refuse to believe that DS9's been wiped out simply because the show is just so darn good. Luckily, my DVDs still exist :)

Well, I go with split timelines, rather than one erasing the other. Generally I prefer predestination paradoxes, but that's clearly not the case here. So this is better than wiping out the timeline. So both are good.

Or "at least the DVDs still exist" works too.

... and other Vulcans like Sisko's academy rival Solok, or the crew of the T'Kumbra. Now that the timeline is altered, do these occurrences still happen?
The Vulcans can't field an entire baseball team now, so Sisko wins. He thanks his mom, God (same thing), and Nero when interviewed by ESPN after the game.

Either that, or Sisko's rival is an Andorian or Tellerite, and they field a team.

Like I said, who's to say the timeline can't be somewhat self-correcting?

Great FP.

I would add the events of First Contact are intact for the most part, as the Earth would have been full of Borg if Nero's actions had rippled that far into the future. The timeline can "repair" itself, a SciFi staple.

Let's say Andorian. I think the Tellerites would rather play football. They're built for it and there's more trash talk.

Or rugby, or soccer. That, and the Andorian baseball game would be a little more even...
