Favre meeting with Vikings...

I knew I should have started the "Brett Favre Drama Thread - 2009 Edition" when the rumors first started.

In today's news, former NY Jets stand-out Quarterback Brett Favre mounted up his drama llama and rode it all the way from Mississippi to Minnesota, in hopes of finding new ways to anally rape the Green Bay Packers. Favre, of course, set many, many NFL records with the Green Bay Packers, won a Super Bowl with them, and was a three-time MVP, so he has every reason to wish them ill.

What a douche.
No kidding.

Part of me wishes he'd just retire for good and go away, but as Packer fan living amonst a bunch of Vikings fans, I'm kind of liking this. If Favre does return and plays for the Vikings, they'll be stuck with a fading QB who never could play well at the Metrodome. And even if he doesn't return, the talk alone just may shatter what little confidence Tavaris Jackson had. Either way, it works for me.

A fine display of schadenfreude.

I approve. :techman:

As a Bears fan, and currently a happy one at that [cough]Cutler[/cough], I hope he does play for the Vikings.

It'll give our *hopefully* resurgent defense 2 more chances to break his old bones like kindling.

Seriously, as bad as he looked most of last year, how does he expect to get revenge on anybody?

 Can this guy get any more pathetic?

It's always sad when great athletes miss the right time to just call it quits...

Seeing as they're in the same division as the Packers, Packers fans should actually want Favre and his 3 picks per TD ratio to play for the Vikes.

this is just great. Favre vs Sage Rosencopter for the starting QB position. Sure am glad I'm not a Vikings fan.

Rosenfels has to be a little annoyed after the Vikings traded for him. It looked like he had a pretty good chance to be the starter there. But if they sign Favre, we all know that isn't going to happen.

I wish he would just crawl under a rock and go away. He blew up the Jets last year, who are now stuck with a rookie QB and no one to throw it to.

As a Pats fan, I don't mind that at all, but he's bad news at this point.

Sage is not a starter. He can be good for a few games, but he just isn't what a team would want to invest in as a starter. The Vikings got him for a 4th round pick, which is probably a bargain. A seasoned backup for a second day pick is not bad. But to depend on Sage as the guy is not a good thing. And at this point, I don't think I'd want Favre anywhere near my team.

That was my issue with Farve last year. Clearly he doesn't need the money and just just likes playing the game, but I thought it was crap that he was jerking Aaron Rodgers around.

After Favre finally retired, one of my art instructors asked me if I was satisfied that his story was finally finished (this was because I've been vocal about my irritation with him in the past). I remember saying that I was going to wait at least one year before I consider this sad, pointless tale to be over. I knew all too well that Favre's love for bullshitting pretty much everyone around him could bubble up to the surface again.

I was pleased when Farve retired the first time. He did it, it was classy, and I respected the guy. I was kinda meh when he came back the first time. It wasn't bad, but it killed the effect of his first leaving. When he started playing games and jerking Green Bay around, then I started getting sick of the guy. Then he retired this time, and my thought was, "Good. Go away you old bat." And now he's back again? And for no reason other than exacting vengance on the Packers? Is he's Cutler's hero, because they seem to have similar Bitch factors.
