I just tried to buy a glass at the local BK (in a small town) and after they'd taken my money, they discovered the glasses hadn't come in yet. They refunded the money I'd paid for the glass (a rain check would have been nice) and said they glasses should come in Thursday. Now I'll have to buy another value meal I can't eat. :(

Picked up all four glasses during lunch today. Very nice.

I got the set of glasses for $6.99 + tax. Pretty good. $7.60 and didn't have to buy any food.

Are these glasses dishwasher safe?

Just to note, the store I got my glasses only has Kirk and the manager apparently wants to get rid of them.

Got em all today -- except Uhura -- since they didn't have her at the BK I stopped at. I really dig the glasses though. The packaging is also very cool!

Are people here buying them without meals or are you buying four meals? The one I went to only had one of the glasses (Kirk) and said you had to get it with a meal.

Me either. Although I did buy a Whopper Jr. and a Diet Coke just so I wouldn't look like I was just there to buy glasses...I didn't want to look like a dork. LOL!!!

I don't know what happens in the movie but over at the Nokia-Verizon Trek site they have this little mobile phone wallpaper.

That's what I figure. It's happened on too many official media tie-ins to just be some graphic artists thinking they are correcting errors.

Just in case you are getting your hopes up people, the bussards are NOT RED in the film at any point. I personally like it much better with the red, but it's the same throughout the film. It must just be graphic designers who've seen other Trek before.

Any Aussies seen these at Hungry Jacks stores?

I bought 2 Kirk glasses without any food. It cost me $4.50 Canadian total. I really hope the other Burger King in town has Spock.

I just saw the BK commercial with the NU-Bridge, it's a KIDS meal commercial! :D

Hm, odd. A friend of mine was told by a manager that, at least in Minnesota, they only have the Kirk glasses and new ones are released every other week. That doesn't seem reight, does it?

I bought all four glasses yesterday morning for $6.99, with a cheap value meal which I through out (but drank the coffee). Out the door I spent $11.

Has anyone tried the BK "Kingon Defense Academy" site yet?

It's where I got my fine looking avatar, too! They have 9 film clips, to train you on how to combat the Kingons from stealing your glasses (which are supposed to be hiding dilithium).

The site's pretty funny, actually.

yesterday, I bought the Kirk, Spock, and Uhura glasses and the Kirk and Scotty toys as well as the Tricorder. they didn't have the Spock doll or the Communicator. I'd have bought those if they did.

I feel like I've gone nuts. I've never bought Trek stuff before except for books and a tribble way back in the 80s. :lol:
