Looking for Dr. Who reviews

I recently started watching some of the newer Dr. Who episodes (series 2, 3 and 4, to be precise), most of which I really enjoyed. I used to watch Dr. Who as a child sometimes. But this is the first time I've actually been following the show.

I'm wondering if there are any Dr. Who reviews sites out there that are similar to what Jammer did for the various Trek shows or nuBSG. In other words, I'm particularly interested in ones with some kind of a rating at the end that you'd recommend.

I had a look in the "Primer" thread before posting, but there didn't seem to be anything there along the lines of what I'm seeking. I've already been to Outpost Gallifrey. But unless I'm mistaken the only reviews there are ones submitted by users which feature no rating system.

I'd really appreciate some pointers on this matter. I'm curious to see how other people rated the episodes and how that relates to my own views.

Any help in this matter would be...brilliant :D.

The BBC used to have reviews up of the original series on the Doctor Who pages at the Beeb's wesbsite. Anyone know if they are still there?

Thanks for the responses so far!

www.pagefillers.com/dwrg is a good place to go-it's all fan reviews but it covers pretty much every single WHO story, from TV to novels to audio.

They certainly have a lot on there. So far I haven't seen any reviews with any form of ratings, unfortunately. Or did I miss something?

The thing for me is that I'm interested in reading the individual review. But I'd like to roughly have any idea how the reviewer felt about an episode before I decide to read the whole thing (say, for example, if they rate an episode a lot higher than I would).

The best Doctor Who review site is, in my opinion, the Tomb of the Anorak, but I'm afraid it doesn't cover the new series.

That's really the kind of reviews I'm looking for. But as you said, unfortunately, there's no reviews for the new series :(.

This is shaping up to be more difficult than I had anticipated :D.

First of all, thanks to everyone who's responded! I appreciate the information you provided.

Billie Doux has begun reviewing Doctor Who this month

Cool! It's a shame he has no rating system BUT it's cool that he's been reviewing other shows I like as well (e.g. nuBSG or Highlander).

You can try Jacob's recaps on Television without Pity.

That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for - thanks! Do you know if he intends to catch up on more series 3 and 4 episodes, by the way?

I just came across another review site myself, Dr. Who Online. Some reviews have ratings, others don't. In terms of the TV show, unfortunately, it only seems to go as far as series 3 for some reason.

But what's interesting is that there are also reviews of the soundtracks as well as DVDs, books and toys/other.

Btw. I really think I will need to pick up the series 1 - 4 soundtracks. There's some really beautiful material on there, I think.
