Question about the "Rhiannsu" books

I know they make reference to the "Honor Blades", but do they give a Romulan name for them? Thanks in advance for any info.

Bummer. Thanks for looking tho. I suppose I can make something up, or anyone know how to get a hold of Diane Duane?

The repeated mentions in the Rihannsu books to The Sword, etc are references to the S'harrien (sp?) blades brought by the original Romulans to the Two Worlds, as are the titles "Swordhunt", "Honor Blade", etc.

The backstory chapters of "The Romulan Way" explain the history of the blades, considered the finest Vulcan swords ever forged, and just how they came to be taken along during the Exodus.

Those are specific swords though, as opposed to the more general "honor blade" which would refer to a type of sword--which would include the s'Harrien (I don't know how to spell it either).

Off-topic, but I saw the 3.75" Nero action figure tonight. His multi-bladed weapon is called a Teral'n on the box art. But is Nero without honor?

^Not so much a technique as a specific move, a quick and painless snapping of the neck. It translates as "merciful execution." The term from "Journey to Babel" was the inspiration for the name Tal Shi'ar for the Romulan intelligence service, the implication being that the terms are from common roots.
