Every year in the UK older cars need to pass an MOT in order to get a certificate that says your car is fit to be on the road.
Having bought an Japanese imported Impreza STI to play about in last year I put it in for testing knowing it was flawless, but flawless it was not.
The Exhaust note is too loud! They failed me because the exhaust makes too much sound At 4000rpm is 99.8Db.
To me, This is good and means small blind kids can hear you coming, sadly the state thinks they should die and wants me to bring the exhaust note down to 84Db to match a uk spec cars exhaust note, 84Db, thats smart car stuff.
So my question is does anyone on this board know how to knock a few Db from the cars exhaust note without going down the Silencer road?
