3 New Clips on iesb [SPOILERS]

That may be it.

That clip is my favorite of the new ones - there's just so many little things in it.

Kirk's attitude, for one. He's sizing up the two guys he's on this mission with, and whether he's in charge or not (I've no idea) he's the one who's clearly concerned. He's nervous, but there's more there - it looks to me like he's disturbed to realize that the engineer is all bravado and doesn't have a realistic sense of what they're in for. And he wants to know what Sulu's specific training is. In his mind, he's taking responsibility for getting this done.

Okay, maybe that's a bit much to get out of the clip. :guffaw: But I do like Pine's performance there.

I love his, "Ya right" expression at the engineer and his "Fuck, are you kidding me..." expression at Sulu.

I liked that as well.

Those clips look pretty damned good and has me excited! The Robau clip was more than I really wanted to know, but I think I can live with that. Shuttle one was my favorite. 2 more weeks!

It's so nice to hear the words "Federation Vessel" once more on screen.

And seeing that image of Nimoy Spock in such an updated matter made me fear for his safety! Can you imagine the Spock we all know and love from the 60s going up against such a threat? I love how Spock went from battling mind-reading Talosians to Eric Bana. 40 years ago, nobody could ever imagine seeing Spock in this kind of predicament, with such luscious images and intense mythology. This has been one hell of a journey, Mr. Nimoy. Well done, well done indeed! :techman:

I think the ship looks too small in the jump scene. I mean the shuttle bay looks as big as the entire lower hull, and you can walk across it in a few seconds. Where is the engine room?

How big did you think the old E was going to be?

My feelings and thoughts exactly. :bolian:

yeah, I think you especially, Dennis, will love Pine's overall performance.

The music that starts up at the end of the Pike/Kirk clip, I was expecting the Lost "woosh" and then Kirk would be back in the present on the Island. :)

Just had a thought that it would have been nice if the USS Kelvin was an NX-Class ship an Robau had an Enterprise uniform on.

Oh I am happy with what we have got, I just thought it would have been a nice touch is all.

I think Nimoy needs to author a third volume now. Perhaps he can call it "I am still Spock" Seriously, I would love to read about his road back to Trek.
