how do you pronounce this?

My English teacher (well, my favourite English teacher) always pronounced it "zhawnr". I like that pronunciation. :bolian:

You know what's sad? My knowledge of Italian and English (and next to no knowledge of French) allowed me to understand everything except fait and je (and je would have been obvious if I had taken a single class of French).

La fait is "the fact". Je,"I", but that's kinda obvious. It's taken me 5 years of French to be able to say that. :vulcan:

Can you give a full translation? I don't know what ca is, so the end is a bit uncertain.

"The fact that I speak French is the reason why I pronounce it like that."

At least, that's what I think I said. Ca means "that", I believe, so comme ca would be "that way", or "like that". I've also heard it (comme ca) asked in question form, and also in the phrase "comme ci, comme ca", which means "I'm feeling okay, or so-so", so I think it has a bunch of meanings. Carrie would know better than me.
