You can tell which threads are Robau and sombrero related. Just avoid those threads, and you won't have to be annoyed! Let people have their fun. They're not doing you any harm.

But they ARE bothering me. Their sense of humor is absurd and wacky, and lacks dryness, obscure wordplay and references to the works of Miguel de Cervantes. Clearly, spun by irredemable idiots, looneys and children.

I do say, there you go tilting at windmills again. Etonnamment monotone et lasse est ton âme en mon automne, hélas!

Tilting at windmills. I got to remember to start using that term in RL.

Why? Because he's bald? What is it with Star Trek fans? This is about the same logic as saying "Star Trek XI will suck because there's a scene with a motorcycle in it and Top Gun sucked!" or "Star Trek XI is a clone of Beverly Hills 90210 because everyone is under 30."

You are ABSOLUTELY right! Star Trek XI will kick ass because there's a scene with a motorcycle in it and Top Gun kicked ass!

Holy shit! That makes Spock GOOSE!

And everyone in ST XI is NOT under 30, so it is not a 90210 clone. On the other hand, Star Trek XI is a clone of Jackass because everyone is under 40!

I can't WAIT to see McCoy get transported into a swarm of angry bees! He is gonna be SOOOO mad!

Actually, if you're familiar with the Jedi Council Forums at TheForce.net, Kyle Katarn is Star Wars' version of Captain Robau, not Mace Windu. :techman:

There's a long history of tilting at windmills in the Trek XI forum, at TrekBBS in general and in Trek fandom at large. I think it sorta comes with the territory. ;)

But is Quixote wearing a sombrero? That is the question...

Uhh did you even do your fact-checking properly? The internet is full of misinformation.

I have a copy of the book on hand and it says that Don Quixote wears a sombrero that he believes to be the famous Sombrero of Carl Spock. You can look it up, it's totally true.

Could be, could be... 'Mambrino' and 'Sombrero' sound pretty similar. Well, let's get the guy with the Tiberius/Siberius phonetics soundcheck software to verify it!

Robau gets whomped as well (so I've heard) but he's still worthy to be our God.

I mean Jesus got nailed to a board and 2,009 years later some of us still worship Him. :D

You know, this talk about comparing Robau to Mace Windu has got me thinking about a scene. Nero is on the Narada bridge, gloating over his apparent imminent victory. Suddenly Robau appears, slams Nero against the wall and says "This party's over...bitch."

I think that should be a deleted scene.

If it is, then it will surely be included on the DVD...

Captain Robau is, at this time, contemplating the destruction of this thread, and perhaps even it's creator, for daring to compare Him to a Fantasy Star Wars Character...

:rommie:
