Now I'd guess, (and NO I don't know anything and managing to SKIP THE UNCONCEALED FINALE SPOILER LISTED ABOVE and only glimpsing the first sentence despite it being in BOLD PRINTING), I'd guess a great way to "end" the series and yet leave wriggle room would be to build up to what seems to be the finale and then flash "Five Years Later", and show us the "end".

That way, they could cover the missing three years if they're renewed. And also have the option of the ending they presented not actually be what we believe it is.

I just watched the ep. Holy fuckin' hell... this show has done a lot of seriously excellent episodes so far, but this one tops them all. From Chuck doing the Morgan, to Sarah's awesome firefight in the Fulcrum building, to Casey awesome entrance as the window washer.

And Sarah finally deciding where here loyalty is. :D :D :D

This episode was a whole new level of Awesome. I love this show. Pray to the gods that rule NBC that they renew this, please. If they have to move it I will understand, even though it is the big reason I look forward to Mondays now. I can adjust. Really, I can.

"Wow, that Morgan move really works." line had me cracking up. I cheered when Casey showed up to do the windows. Loved the firefight along with Sarah kicking that guy through the cubicle wall. Noticed the Subway commercial with Big Mike and Morgan, it made me want a Teriyaki footlong myself. Plus we had Anna and a gratuitous shot of her legs! What more can anyone ask of a single episode?

(and NO I don't know anything and managing to SKIP THE UNCONCEALED FINALE SPOILER LISTED ABOVE and only glimpsing the first sentence despite it being in BOLD PRINTING)
Lucky you. :scream:

Yeah, I know. I try not to spoil anything myself before an episode airs. That's why I even put the current episode descriptions under a spoiler tab when I start these threads. I enjoy this show so much and don't want it to end, even though I know it eventually will. So I try to savor it and not look ahead. Too bad others aren't as considerate of other people's wish to do the same.

It's strange. I have this need or ability to always stick with the underdogs. The unpopular. The easily dismissed. I'm a die hard Kansas City Royals fan. My favorite X-Man is Cyclops. Chuck is my favorite current show. The Misfits are my favorite band. Deep Space Nine is my favorite Star Trek show. It's strange. I just have a distrust of anything the masses deem popular I guess.

Wow, you pretty much described my own tendencies and favorites there as well. Just take out the bit about The Misfits since I don't know their music, and sub the San Francisco 49ers for the Royals, and you have me pegged.

Ouch. Yeah both The Chiefs and The 49ers were awful last season. But it could be worse. They could be The Lions. I have a friend who's a Lions fan and we enjoyed giving him all types of shit last year.

The Misfits are like if you took The Ramones and made them sing about nothing but 50's B horror movies and add a 50's surfer beat. It's awful music I guess, but it's ever so much fun and catchy.

Ratings and Demos were up yet again. This show is a fighter. When its allowed to build, ratings always go up and stay stable. It was the stupid break NBC gave them that killed their ratings and they've been playing catch up ever since.

I still don't know why they haven't renewed it yet. The critics love it. The fans love it. The network(supposedly) loves it. The out pouring of fan support for renewal is huge. It's cheap to make. It's the only 2008 show they introduced that didn't bomb. Yet it does better against some of the stiffest competition on TV on Mondays then half of their Thursday lineup does. And that's supposed to be NBC's strongest programing hour. Especially when underperforming stuff like Heroes(which Chuck beat last week) and Friday Night Lights gets renewed. Not renewing this show is a crime against every thing good.

Jay Leno is not going to be your savior NBC. Granted I could see how people could still want to hear bland jokes about how Bill Clinton likes pussy 9 YEARS after he's left office. Which is what Leno specializes in. I could see that. But then I hear Bill Hicks's old joke from 1994 about how Leno sucks Satan's cock. And I have to go with Hicks on that, after much internal debate.

Yeah, I am not a big fan of Leno either. I think NBC is shooting themselves in the foot by giving the guy five hours of prime-time every week. It's like they are trying to be the next CW, and not the long standing major network they once were.

This episode of Chuck is now up over at Hulu. Everyone go and give it a hit, even if you put it into a tab in back and turn down your sound if you don't want to watch it again now. It is our chance to make our voices heard by NBC without having to actually write in. Let's all do what we can to save this show my fellow BuyMorians!

The gun fight was just insane. The show usually shies away from killing people but they sure didn't last night. There was probably a higher body count than all the other episodes combined.

The traditional Awesome rating was in jeopardy due to the first half being a bit slooow but they sure made up for it in the second half. Love the way they're giving Fulcrum a Blackwater-esque vibe (24's variant isn't half as creepy) and we've finally got our lovebirds on the run for real - right? Well they can't reall go on the run because then what does the Buy More crowd do?

It cracks me up that the super secret spy base is in Barstow. :rommie:

Lucky you. :scream:

If it's not the series finale, then that spoiler can't really happen. I'm more upset by the notion that this show might not get renewed than by a spoiler that is more like an inevitability.

Are we really thinking it's getting canceled???

That would just completely break my heart. I would have no reason to even own a TV anymore.

What do you mean "we", paleface?

In other words: OH, HELL NO!

While it seems it is on the cusp, all the indicators are that the people that make such decisions at NBC all like and want Chuck to survive. I am holding onto hope for the show, and I will until definite word saying otherwise comes out. We have to keep the positive vibe going that we will survive. That the show runners have a plan beyond that spoiled description of the season finale. Go download an episode from Hulu or even NBC and help to keep this Awesome show alive. And be positive!

For BuyMoria!

There might be two versions of the season finale - one if it's cancelled, one if it's getting another season. Because that episode description isn't a game changer, it's a game ender!

Unless
in the S3 season opener, Chuck gets the Intersect back in his head, which frankly would be infuriating so let's hope that's not what they're planning!

It could maybe work if it is Chuck that puts it back into his head by his own choice. Like say if Sarah gets captured by Fulcrum, and the only way to find her is for Chuck to download all the secrets back into his head. Being that they have already established that Chuck is one of the few people on Earth capable of holding the Intersect, I could buy it. And he wouldn't really be an unwilling victim that got roped into all this as much as he is now.

He and Casey would have to break back into where Fulcrum has their Intersect that Chuck's dad built for them to do this. "Back into" meaning that it is the same place where Chuck gets it removed this season. Some espionage work that General Beckman would get behind, since it would be useful to her for more than just rescuing Sarah.

If the reset button gets pushed in the first episode of S3, then there's no way for it not to come off as a cheap ploy, regardless of how it happens. They've already done that before - throwing in some new element in an episode and rescinding it the next episode.

Oh god.

Chuck loses the intersect briefly as Morgan "inherits" it after a tragic comedy of errors similar to how Al Quantum leaped after season 2, or Eli Stones brother got visions after Eli had surgery... And Sarah has to pretend date Morgan to keep him safe as Chuck goes mental in the background, like all the times some one, like Lana or Lois, stole Superman's powers?

How Vir assassinated Emperor Katagia... If you're in trouble and you don't have the money for the A Team, then you need the B Team. :)

Isn't it weird that there's a character on Reeper now called Morgan?

I like how the episode defied my expectations of what his First Kill was going to be. It's weird how a title can add so much more tension to the episode.
