New clip with Scotty

Many months ago I had my doubts. All the new clips have put an end to all that.

This movie is going to rock.

Lens flare almost completely obscuring the actors at some points, constant camera motion, high speed pans. I hope the whole film isn't like that because half the audience will get motion sick or have a seizure.

Well, there haven't been any complaints yet.

Certainly hasn't seemed worth mentioning from those who have seen it thus far.

All I can say is at my age, I'm glad to know beforehand those flares are meant to be there and everyone's seeing them. :)

Pine is very very good. By the way, who was that other guy who used to play Kirk? Sharper? Schaffer?

I compared the guy that Kirk got into a fight with at the bar, and the guy escorting Scotty/Kirk on the bridge. Yep, they're the same!

Same here. I wasn't interested in this movie because of the tired old time travel plot, but these clips have piqued my interest. I will plunk down my hard earned money to see this at the theater.

I noticed that as well while watch the clip! "Cupcake" never looks to be a very happy camper, does he?

Looks like it's been posted already. Sorry.

Two things.

Screw those damn lens flares! And Urban has DeForest Kelley's speech cadence nailed. IMO

He once beat up the guy who's now his captain. And, he's wearing a red shirt. Uh, oh.

Yeah, now I'm a little more convinced about Quinto's Spock than before. But... is it wrong and sick of me that Pegg's Scotty reminds me a bit of Neelix here? ;)

Extremely wrong to compare Scotty to Neelix!:p

yes dont make me go all vorpal bunny on you.. grr

Looks like Quinto's channeling a little bit of Spock from [...] "All Our Yesterdays."
I'm not saying you're wrong, but why do you think that?

The sharp stick up his ass and the seething desire in his eyes to clock Kirk.

actually he seems to be channeling spock from the cage and a couple of the early episodes.

watch mudd's women and some of the early ones.
but remember the cage had THE WOMEN and the grin.

any one the stuff from kirk and spock reminded of some similar though more friendly stuff between them later..

from where no man has gone before..

KIRK: Certain you don't know what irritation is?

and this from corbomite maneuver..

SPOCK: Probably both, and if you're asking the logical decision to make
KIRK: No, I'm not. The mission of the Enterprise is to seek out and contact alien life.
SPOCK: Has it occurred to you that there's a certain inefficiency in constantly questioning me on things you've already made up your mind about?
KIRK: It gives me emotional security.

Cupcake is going to be eaten!

we know where the red shirt tradition gets started.

and even though he got to say so little it was great seeing pegg reacting to being caught in between kirk and spock.

I like the lens flairs. I think the reason JJ put them in is to separate this film from all the other shows and movies, and to give it a different look altogether

Cupcake is quickly becoming even more intriguing then Captain Robau. Will Cupcake have an his own action figure? Will he appear in the next film?

Will Cupcake die?!?!?!

some of my friends while waiting forever for our dinner to arrive one night started to play with whole .

he's dead jim.

one of them was he's bread jim.
after he got turned into popnfresh dough boy who got cooked.

Edit: to those that can't see the clip in the link: In firefox, I couldn't see it at first, but it showed up immediately after turning off noscript.
Turns out that if you allow Collider.com and allow GorillaNation.com, it'll work.

Based on the earlier, more abbreviated bar-fight scene bit in the TV commercial, I'd had an impression of "Cupcake" () as being thinner than the bridge scene security ape, but with this you can see it's pretty clearly the same guy in both scenes. :techman:
