^Yes, but even then, it's more of an expositional book than anything else. There's a lot of describing things and a lot of finding things out but only brief, short bursts of things happening. It is interesting as a series of snapshots depicting the Alpha Quadrant post-Borg invasion but it never really coalesces into a full novel.
While Sonek Pran is an engaging protagonist, he doesn't have enough of a personal stake in the story. There are some cataclysmic family issues that he's dealing with but those don't really tie into the main story (except in the broad, thematic sense of emphasizing coming together in the face of unspeakable tragedy). Again, lots of nice little pieces but an underwhelming whole.
