Why are there still cows on the Kent family farm?

I noticed this in a establishing shot a few weeks ago on "Smallville." I would think that the farm hasn't been a active farm since at least when his mom moved away. I know that was proably just stock footage but it was kind of wierd to notice IMO.

Real Life: that happens a lot on "retired" farms. The land owner will lease out the pasturage to someone else while still living in the "farmhouse".

Clark's only romantic choices are bestiality and incest, given that the only member of is species still alive is his first cousin. But that's legal in Kentucky and New York.

Davis isn't really a Kryptonian, though. He's from the planet, but not the same species, so he's really no better solution than a human or a cow, except in the sense that a super-orgasm won't rend him into a squishy pile of gore. But Clark is a zoophile, so he might go for Davis, if Davis chanced his name to something alliterative that begins with L.

Clark just needs to set up a red sunlamp in his bachelor pad and problem solved.

Sorry for thread hijack, but why was Laura Vandervoort so abruptly dropped? She wasn't even told she was dropped; she learned it during the CW up fronts of 2008. That was a sucky thing to do to her. At least now she got a higher profile job with V, but that means we won't get that Supergirl TV show. :(
