I think it's a good story too.
What amazes me is how iconic superheroes become even for children. Sure they can create new superheroes, but for some reason the look of characters such as Spidey, Supes, and Wonder woman are just so iconic that even a three year old is discriminating and would prefer them to newer unfamiliar heroes.
Allow me top use this opportunity to rant, but it seems like the people working with these characters these days are forgetting their iconic status. I mean this is Spidey from the recent cartoon:
I can't imagine this scrawney thing, all proportioned wrong, saving anyone. As a child I never wouldve been attached to it. I had Spider-man sneakers as a kid, and this was the kind I'm talking about:
Of course it wasn't exactly that pic, but that's Spidey that I remember
This trend of thinning out and exagerrating is happening to all kinds of iconic characters, even Transformers
This is the iconic Prime that was what I grew up with:
Not this:
notice how it actually mirrors the problems the new scawney Spider-man has.
i'm really worried about this trend ruining everything that makes these characters so iconic
