Sex, the 22nd century taboo

Maybe Trip is just uncomfortable talking about sex. Some people are, you know. ;)

I mean, it's like that scene in another episode where one of Phlox's wives (Feezal) comes on board and is blatantly hitting on Trip. Phlox even *encouraged* Trip to sleep with her! And when he wouldn't do it, Phlox and Feezal sorta laughed about it and said "Humans..."

Does this mean Trip has a warped attitude about sex? Does it mean he's a prude? No, not really. Maybe he's not the smoothest operator in the world, but at least he's trying.

(And as hot as Feezal was, I wouldn't have hit it either. I don't care if it's normal in Denobulan society. I, as a human, would be uncomfortable with the situation. A normal human response, I'd think. You can't expect humans to automatically adjust to Denobulan sexual practices without some kind of reluctance)

I'm sorry, but I have too many gay friends to let this go. What you need to do is stop pointing fingers and get to know a gay person. First you will learn that people don't choose to be gay, they are born gay. Second, given time, you will realize that gay people are just as diverse as any other group. Like any group that is feared, the worst of the group is focused on as a model for all. And if your argument against gays you decide to bring religion in as a basis of your reasoning, forget it. At that point you are pulling me down and I don't want to join you in the sewer. I'm religious, and the God I will answer to wants me to be kind and understanding. I am not to judge or persecute others, and neither are you.

If you are not religious, wel, you're on a Star Trek forum. Trek also teaches us not to judge or persecute others. Start acting like a Trek fan and leave your bigetry in the closet.

Sorry mod. I'm climbing off of my soapbox now and am ready for my punishent.

...I mean, I know that the audience in the States is considered conservative and all (read: "prudes"), ....

Wow Mach5, you have been on a roll the last few days. Insulting everyone and everything at every chance. You might consider taking some time out from posting about sex and watching shows with revealing sex, and maybe ... have some sex. It is known to improve the mood of those that do it.
You know better than to make a post like this, SFRabid. You get a friendly for this one.

But then you had to go and do this, after I had posted two friendlies in the thread telling everyone to quit with the TNZ-type hot-topic stuff, and after this other poster had already been issued his own warning.

At least you know why I had to give you the warning. Comments to PM.
