WOW! and here I thought ''I'' was pessimistic! This film is gonna be huge
No, it isn't. It'll be #1 for its first weekend, maybe its second. After that it'll drizzle off until a bloated DVD release where you can buy so many variations you'll forget that you came looking for a specific movie.
This time in 2010 everyone will have forgotten about it.''or'' are you just ''HOPEING'' this trek fails?

corrected. that should fix the problem. lol
HBO and Showtime are too adult-skewing
You said it, thats just what we need! A trek centered around relationships with lots of softcore sex scenes :P

Enterprise?
As long as the Les Moonves is STILL in charge of Paramount T.V. All this is a pipe-dream![]()
And just what is it that you think a new series would last? I myself see if it happens, most all you posters on here will start whining and complaing about badly written episodes, or that you would say that it should have taken a different approach after a couple of seasons. And then stop watching until cancellation blaming TPTB for everything that went wrong with it.![]()
Shouldn't this go in the "Future of Trek" forum ?
I read this on one of my blogs this morning...
Bryan Fuller, ... has indicated he would like to relaunch the franchise on the small screen.
I'd like to see another Star Trek series, but with new producers. The ones who took over after Roddenberry died screwed it all up (I mean Rick Berman). Let's make it fun again! I want to see the crew laughing at the end of every episode, just like Kirk did! I want them exploring NEW worlds, not just checking on some scientist who lives alone on some already discovered planet (plot of half the TNG episodes). I don't care about "The Prophets" (half the DS9) or aliens who steal your ship's crucial engine parts (half of Voyager). I want to watch a Star Trek that comments about human rights and political corruption, just like the original series. That is why it was so much better than the silly crap from the 90's. C'mon, owners of the Trek series', watch the original shows again and remind yourself of what Gene was really trying for. Please.

This I just searched and found out dates back to September 17, 2008.
It is _NOT_ New news, just rehashed.

I love this commenter's idea of a new show:
