To be fair, "TATV" is nowhere near as shit-awful as "Sub Rosa(TNG)," "Move Along Home(DS9)" or the two Irish holodeck episodes on VOYAGER. But that doesn't say much.

You forgot "Threshold". I watched it just to see how bad it was...oh man, I wish I didn't.

Yep. "Threshold" gobbles fresh targ vomit, too. Ugh. Sad, really. A story about the first human being to ever achieve transwarp speed. And it's couched in a script so dumb even Pauly Shore's agent would turn it down for fear of hurting his image.

Which makes how "TATV" went down and was digested far worse than those other turds. The finale wasn't worse than those stinkers by far...but then again, like you said, none of those nougated deer nuggets was a series farewell either. Different context. Worse reaction.

If that WERE the finale for TNG? Not even fire would kill it as much as it deserved to be.
