I have one pair of every day shoes, one pair of dress shoes (that hurt like a bitch!), a pair of slippers, a pair of leather sandals, or chanclas, as they are called in Spanish, and that's it. So no, i don't like shoes, and can't stand shoe shopping.

Yes. By and large, stereotypes are true for a reason. Granted, not everyone fits in to those stereotypes, but a lot of people do.

A very interesting question, and the answers are endless, and unfortunately pointless. As no matter what position one takes on this, the person of the opposite sex (not sexual orientation) will argue almost, sometimes, to the death that you are totally wrong.

Not true, actually. Unfortunately a lot of men and women love to live down to their stereotypes (especially in the current phase); it gives them a sense of identity that they otherwise seem to lack. We really need a culture that encourages people to cultivate their individuality.

Also, Farquard, we don't allow sig images at TrekBBS. That's a clever attempt at getting around it, but it's a no go. Please don't do it anymore. Thank you.

I do. She was English and part of our circle of friends at Uni, who was dating another friend then left him (stayed friends) and started dating another friend of mine, but was good fun. Liked to talk about lots of things even if she didn't have a clue about what she was talking about. She squealed frequently at even the slightest new thing. I thought she was funny. Not my type, though.

Another friend at Uni (older than me) also liked to squeal at things, especially when she was either in a playful mood or when drunk. (Of course, when she wasn't drunk, she was sensible.) She wasn't English.

Drunk I can understand, being playful I can understand, but frequently and/or randomly
