Gabe's Enterprise was awesome! That thing had style and kicked ass.

As long as I keep the memories of the Original 1701 from intruding my thoughts, screaming WRONG! I am fine with it.
I think the trick in allowing it to grow on me is not comparing it to the Old Girl.

I really like this angle. How the thicker neck connect to engineering hull backside. Its much better and more realistic then usual paper-thin necks of the TOS Enterprise and The TMP Enterprise.
Only downside is that i think the neck becomes to thin at the front. Also the nacelles are 10% to big. Other then that, this new Enterprise is vast improvement on the TOS Enterprise.
I actually compare the TOS Enterprise with the ugly duckling that has finally been transform to beautiful Swan the new Enterprise.

I love it and from this distance the NU ENT looks alot like the Original! ( but that's just me) Oh and the only reason you HATE this picture is because you KNOW the NU girl looks good and you don't want to admit it! Especialy when next to the Kevin the enterprise really SHINES!
I don't like the nacelles. Don't warp nacelles generate a field along their length, rather than generating thrust out the back? Based on these pictures, it looks like they're trying to make them appear to work like rocket engines. They're bigger than the original, so it wins that particular dick-measuring contest. Thing is, the original was a Lady.
Other than that, the saucer underside is as flat as a pie-pan, when the original had a beautiful compound curve to it. The engineering hull is just odd.
Maybe it will be only shown zipping by so you won't actually see it that well...

These aren't official, but man, if they're accurate, that ship looks amazing.
It still doesn't match up to the original 1701.

It's 2009, not 1969. You don't like it because you think it has to look like it was designed 40+ years ago. Too bad. This is the Enterprise for the 2009 and forward movie series(, unless it's changed again)

Looks like the Enterprise to me.
Remember in Star Trek V, when Kirk said he needs his pain? Well there are a few posters here who need to be negative about everything beforehand, during and afterward (since they need to fulfill their own prophecies, after all). Otherwise they'd have nothing to post about.
