Nice. Bay doesn't give away too much but it's still spectacular enough to blow people away (especially if they weren't aware a sequel was coming). I'm going to see Jason tonight, hope it plays then!

So, when their landing vehicles come down, are they programmed to crash into places that draw as much attention as possible?

Is it like some kind of space whac-a-mole game where you get points for hitting a landmark, carrier, stadium, freeway, business, or house and get nothing if you crash into an empty field or the ocean? If so, Optimus Prime sucked at that game.

Awesome trailer though, except for the bad acting from Sam's dad.

Makes sense for the Decepticons to make as much havok as possible on there way down. The Autobots tried to pick spots in the LA area where they'd cause the least damage.

It was heard several times during the first movie but how annoying would it be to hear it anytime someone transforms?

I am looking forward to this movie.. i'm not a big Bay fan but some of his movies are entertaining if you manage to shut off your brain in time and are not too bothered with close up shaky cam shots ( i hope to god he doesn't overuse it like in the first movie).

I think the classic transformation sound effect was heard twice in the first Bay film: when Soundwave transformed at the military base, and when the Nokia proto-transformer first switched to robot mode.

I wish the original sound effect would be more integrated into all of the transformation sequences. I wouldn't want it to be blatant, but I'd like to hear it mixed in subtly, so that if you knew what to listen for, you'd find it.

and i think it's 3 times, but i forget the 3rd instance. and when Black Out transforms, it's actually played before he transforms like over a loudspeaker or something.

Yeah its three times. You also hear it when Prime drops Sam and Mikaela from the bridge and Bumblebee transforms quickly and catches them.
