The New Enterprise in 3D! ... NOW FINISHED (threads merged)

I wouldn't worry as I don't think even the offical movie version of the Kelvin can compare to Tobias Richter's.

That's a nice deja-vu moment for me. Some of my earlier renders (from 2001 and 2002) look just like this image of yours.
Hell, I even used the same font and separated the black bars from the image with the same white line :)

Nice image, btw :) :techman:
Thanks. Can you post an image? I'd like to see. :)

Any progress on that Klingon ship, Madman?
No, unfortunately. :)

I've been slowing down and tweaking the Kelvin and Enterprise, to get them to feel like I am totally finished with them. :)

There are some element on it that I am going to be changing around, and making more angular, I think, to differentiate it from the new Starfleet style.

It's ment to be a simple design requirement on how the engines work, but why blocking the line-of-sight between the bussards would stop the warp drive from working beats me. I've come to look at this as a design tradtion like with Porsche always having the 911s look the same or how the Federation has used the same design of 1 Saucer, 1 Secondary Hull, 2 Pylons & 2 Nacelles on so may ships.

Anyway there's a lot of ships that break the rule heres a short list.
Saladin, Freedom, Friendship One, NX Warpship, Phoenix Warpship & the Defiant.

The even-number nacelle rule is completely bogus and pointless. Technobabble rules always are.

I've just thought is it possible that the new warp effect we see in the 2nd trailer could actully be a slipstream drive ?. Like the Enterprise is very possibly built with technolgy from the late 24th century.

I'm liking the Klingon ship. I almost feels like it should be even more angular though, almost pinched?

As for a name for the destroyer, how about U.S.S. Leonidas? And the dreadnought must be U.S.S. Federation, natch. ;)

:D
Reassuring to know I wasn't the only one seeing that.

I think I've seen the Klingon ship farther along over at Scifi-Meshes, and I'm liking it.
OK, I've totally lost it. :)

This is a really quick and dirty kitbash, that I accomplished in about an hour. :)

I don't like the shuttlebay, but I think it will do, for what this was meant to be. :)

Amazingly Beautiful Ships!

Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with the rest of us.

When I first looked at your 'from-below' JJ-Klingon ship perspective, I thought...

...Head-shot ...Spock's Brain... THE WOMEN!!!

(not a critique just a chuckle in my brain.)
