Hear your mofo President swear like a trooper

Bush and Cheney's use of profanity and vulgarity made me think a good deal less of them as well.

Note, several of my football players have noticed that I do not curse or use vulgarity even when on the football field.

I don't see why so many are bothered by the fact that using vulgarity and profanity makes one appear to be ignorant.

It can't be as offensive as the words themselves.

I'm wondering how people would look at someone in the subway who uses the "you ain't my bitch, nigga, buy your own damn fries"-mp3 as a ringtone. :D

HINT: It's not offensive, it just makes you look like you don't know what the word "fact" means. Your use of it in this context only makes you appear to be ignorant.

"Coolidge still ranks as the quietest president of all time. Famously a woman once approached him, saying, "I bet my friend I could get you to say more than two words," to which Coolidge wittily replied, 'Fuck you'."

Somehow that seems appropriate here.

I remember reading some Lincoln bio. back in AP US History, that said old Abe was prone to rages of cursing at times.

Fixed. lol.
You know how many times I reread that and didn't realize what I did

Being offended or shocked by a word is to give that word power. If you don't let it bother you, then it has no power.

Amen. That's almost verbatim what I was about to say. :bolian:

As Calvin in the great Calvin and Hobbs once said, "People who don't curse are ill equipped to handle life's catastrophes". Truer words were never spoken.:lol::lol:

"I swear....when it's appropriate."

I have a potty mouth at work, and got in trouble with a female colleague who, because she had a personal issue with me, tattled on me to our boss, and we had to have a "meeting" to discuss it. And this was a disagreeable person -- she sat across from me and we worked in an open newsroom -- who had worked for a brokerage firm, one of the places where swearing was de rigeur. I said to her, "You're being way too sensitive, but I'll work on not swearing as much, but just so you know, it's not directed at you." What I felt like saying was, "What the f**k do you mean, I swear too f**king much!" :guffaw:-- RR

Incorrect.

Coolidge said

"You lose".

And the funny is expertly killed by Dayton3!

Methinks 'tis his function! -- RR

"You lose" is still pretty funny. If not altogether cool. Sounds like something Janeway would say to the forehead of the week before blowing them into tiny alien bits.
