I haven't checked but I suspect that, oh I don't know, the Sports forum might have one or two Superbowl related threads...
Really? That IS a bit surprising I guess. It's a pretty engrossing & up and down game though; I can understand why people might not have time to watch & be online. I've only just got back online myself and will turn off again now to watch the last couple of minutes.
Running commentary thread for a football game, especially the Super Bowl would be weird. Hard to type with a beer in one hand and a chicken wing in the other, plus, your laptop would go flying off your lap everytime you jumped up when the Steelers pounded AZ some more.
Great ending to the game! Maybe it's because this is the one day even Trekkies have invitations or some company. Oops!
There was plenty of hype, just not as much glam and such because of the economy, this was a much more grass roots event. Seemed more to focus on the game itself rather than what celeb was going and what party to attend. I actually liked the feel of it better this way.
Man, I was really hoping the Cardinals would pull it off. They came close, too. Oh well, congrats to the Steelers, I guess.
Yeah, how it was for my Rays. The good part is, just like them, the Cards are young and if Warner stays may have a shot at it again next year. And be a bit more prepared for it knowing it's possible.
Actually, that was the one part that was crap. It was a great game, but to have it end with a whimper like that, on a questionable call that apparently got no review... Not saying it would have been overturned or not, but they didn't spend 2 seconds reviewing a call that decided the outcome of the game?
I heard some Arizona viewers were treated to a somewhat different sort of climax altogether.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7864733.stm Better than Archie Gemmill scoring against Holland in 1978?
