The two women with Ben

Me and a few resident friends had a Lost party tonight and it was awesome! Between us, were able to pick out pretty much all the obscure references, however, we were uncertain about the two women that recognized Ben. I thought the woman at the end was the fortune teller that met a lot of our characters prior to them being on the island but I honestly don't remember what she looked like and figured it would just make sense if that was her. Am I correct on this?

And do we know who that other woman is? The one that Ben left Locke's body with?

That last one in the cloak was indeed someone we've seen before. Her name is Ms. Hawking. She knew about Desmond and the island when she met him in 1996 and she was in a photograph with the monk Desmond was working for.

As for the woman in the deli, I don't know who she is.

The deli woman is that alien that John Crichton hung out with in the first season episode "I, E.T."

My money is on that Jill (the butcher) is Annie (Ben's girlfriend from the Island).

Nah, I get the feeling something Very Bad happened to Annie and that informs Ben's dickish nature.

That may have happened to Annie, but we do know why Ben is so dickish: his father.

And I've got the impression that "Ms. Hawking" could be Daniel Faraday's mother. Daniel told Desmond to go find his mother after all.

There was a fake male psychic, but I don't remember any kind of fortune teller.

I thought the butcher shop woman was simply one of the "Others" who was off the island when it disappeared. We know that the Others had operations and personnel off the island. We've seen Tom, Ethan, Richard, etc off the island and on the mainland at various times. Presumably, Ben would have had some of his "people" off the island at any given time in order to gather information or perform various tasks (like surveillance on Charles Whitmore, or kidnapping Locke's dad, etc) and so he probably has a small group of "Others" that he can rely on while in Los Angeles.

We brought that up during the show. But I'm wondering if that's just TOO obvious to be the case.
