It's Hard Out Here For a Twentysomething

BTW I got to really question creative writing degrees. If you are a freaking writer or an artist, a two year program might be best but you CAN'T TEACH CREATIVITY. Blargh. That's like giving someone a degree in football.

But it can teach you structure and technique as well as an environment to hone your craft.

Hence why a two year program might be best but creativity isn't something you can teach a person. If they want a writing degree, get a technical writing or something. Manuals, that sort of crap.

But creativity? A lot of it isn't something you can teach a person at all.

But you could at least pretend you wanted my body too. :shifty:

I think of it as a fringe benefit.

I don't know whether to feel valued or undervalued. :D

And if my body is classified a mere fringe benefit, yours would be a definite asset that I intend to draw down against on a regular basis. ;)

Aw, I love it when you go with all that sexy talk. :adore:

Sex & Finance. It makes for the best pillow-talk. :D

No. All creative fields require an equal amount of creativity and technique. Do you think people who write creatively should get a degree that teaches them how to write manuals? I should hope not. And why do creative fields equate to only a two year degree exactly? A creative writing degree, indeed any art degree, is going to teach the techniques and technical aspect of the field which are required for being successful. That's one of the reasons why these degrees exist and they are most certainly not useless.
