I just heard this on CNN. I believe he passed away at 6:30 am. Bless his heart, one of the greatest villains ever and a wonderful man! I will always say to nosy people, "I grow fatigued with your questions." Of course, in The Chicago Tribune story, there's no mention of his Star Trek work. What a, uh, surprise! -- RR

Patrick McGoohan was originally supposed to play Ira Graves in TNG's "The Schizoid Man" (which is actually an episode title taken from McGoohan's "The Prisoner"). But this isn't exactly a significant relation, I guess.

Just reread the story. It's been updated, it's longer and now mentions his villainous turns in ST, TWOK, and in one of the Naked Gun flicks. I jumped the gun a bit! In his honor, I changed my avatar to Montalban as Khan in TWOK. -- RR

So sorry to hear that. Only last week, I saw an interview with him (don't know when it was made), and the charm and charisma that man had was still very impressive.
He will be missed.
