TRIP/MICHAEL/CONNOR: You're All We Think About

I want to the last one and really enjoyed meeting the people here. My mistake was signing up for photos and autographs from all the Enterprise cast. Next time I will wait until the schedule comes out BEFORE I buy photo tickets. What a mess that was.
I'm thinking of buying the tickets at the convention. Then I won't be spending the ludicrous $7.25 shipping and handling fee for paper to be mailed to me. Or worse, $7.25 to PRINT IT OFF MY COMPUTER!

It wasn't so bad for me. I got them sent through as emails, which I just printed off and took with me. Didn't cost a penny. I must admit though, if I go, I will be cutting back on the autographs and photo ops.

But they still charge for delivery and processing, even when they send your tickets by email.

Yup. that was my point. I couldn't believe they had the audacity. I can understand a small fee to cover the cost of someone emailing thousands of emails, but $7.25?!

^ Wow. I can see postage and handling for paper tickets thru the mail. But that sounds a bit much to charge for an email. I've never been to a fan convention and live vicariously thru you folks that do! :bolian:

This thread was getting terrible close to the bottom of the page!!

I'll tell ya... if I go again this year, I will definitely wait until I get to the convention. And... they put up SOLD OUT signs for many of the items (like the Enterprise boys lunch), yet just go up to one of the ticket booths and they will tell you "SURE you can buy tickets!". That is what we did. As far as the luncheon went, the boys came in, stood on a stage for a few minutes while people could take pictures.. then they make you put away all cameras. The celebs come around to each table for like.. oh 3 mintues! Connor was at our table first and no one knew what do to. He seemed embarrassed by the whole thing!! Anthony and Dominic both sat down and were more relaxed... there was a little girl that wanted a poster signed for a charity. Connor signed it and Creation had a fit! No autographs (cos then they lost out on money! Heaven forbid~).. But Connor called Anthony and Dominic over to the girls table and told them to sign. It was great. Creation had this Amazon woman body guard around Connor and Dominic at the party.. it was SOOO silly becos Marina (Deanna Troi) and Ensign Ro (dont remember her name) had no one.. and it wasnt like anyone was going to do anything to the boys! I was very very disappointed in how Creation handled everything.. it is SOOO about how much money they can pocket!! But.. they are the only players in town.. and the convention is fun cos you meet a lot of nice people~!

I did really enjoy meeting up with people last August. That was my first Creation con. I had heard they treat the fans like cattle... but at the Boys of Enterprise lunch they were treating the stars like cattle too... Anthony actually referred to his "escort" as the gestapo! I don't think I'd be do it again. $85 for a buffet and 3-4 minutes with the actors (tho' at our table, the seat we left empty for the guys to sit in was between Pensive and me, so that was very !!!
The only tickets I plan to buy online -- if I can swing the cost -- are the Captain's ticket for admission and probably the Shatner auto and photo tickets (can't imagine how much $$$ that's gonna be!). I got Nimoy's autograph and photo op, so I won't do those again.

First off! That picture you have of Connor as your Avatar is the nicest one I have ever seen! Do you know where it is from?!
My friend Rita and I were the first ones in line for that luncheon. Started out at the Benihana restaurant.. then we got wind (but not from Creation!) that it had been moved to some room upstairs.. so a bunch of us went searching for the room they said and it was empty!! Then we hear it is in the room that it ended up being in... so while my friend waiting at the line, I went back to Benihana's to tell everyone waiting there it had been moved! No one from Creation had told them.. some of them looked at me like they didnt believe me, but I was just trying to be nice!
IT was WAY too much money for what we got, I think. I wouldnt do it again.
If we end up going to the convention, we will have to meet up in that little eating area outside of the convention!

I snapped it up here: http://gateworld.net/ ... when I first got it, it was not part of a rotation with other banners... it's promoting Connor's latest Gateworld interview...

If I go, I'll be looking for meetups... One reason I want to cut back on tickets is that I took on too much last year. I was exhausted every night. And at least now I know what to expect.

That photo originally appeared a few years ago as a full page picture in a copy of the British sci-Fi magazine SFX. I am not sure which issue it was in. Can anyone else help with that?
