11th Doctor Casting announcment tommorow

Has anyone here ever actually been to a student night club and seen actual goths and emos? Because just because someone has dark hair and a long/scruffy do that does not a goth/emo make.

Young people all look the same to us.

Well, he's 20 years younger than me! I guess I won't be starting any Doctor Drool threads for this guy either.

I've never heard of him, but not surprising since I'm in the U.S. I like his outfit though (if that's what he'll be wearing). I'll wait to see what he's like as The Doctor before passing judgement.

I think I've figured out what bugs me about his face. I just went to the BBC Who site and on the front page the pic of him looks like a Founder.

His face seems so oddly plain. And caked in makeup.

Ach well... they'll hopefully make a few jokes out of it in the show. Him being young, that is. Not an heir to the Dominion.

Everyone was in a tither wondering who the next actor would be. I wasn't at all bothered, I figured they'd pick a good one. I don't freak out about these things.

But what the hell were they thinking? This guy looks like he belongs in a teen show. I don't want that in my Doctor Who, thanks. He may be a great actor and he may be a good Doctor but he not only doesn't look the part but.... bleh.

Edit: Regarding the interview, he seems like a very nice person but I just don't see him as a Doctor. At all. I really had no standards beforehand, either. It could turn out really well but for now I'm not at all excited.

That's kind of neat.

I know they already did a retake on Jekyll, I wonder if they'll do another Invisible Man?

As it stands I believe this is a 1 off 60 minutes show and not a series.

Ah, I must've read that too quickly after getting excited by the prospect of a Moffat Co-Run Sherlock Holmes Series.

I would have imagined 11 in a dark outfit but actually dressing him "against character" in something colourful would be a great idea. It should of course be a more, um, tasteful costume, though.

Tennant has said straight up that his favorite Doctor is Peter Davison. (And I don't just mean in that tongue in cheek way he did in "Time Crash," either.) Naturally there's that wacky quality present in the Tenth Doctor as there was in the Fifth.

Smith could have a personlity like the first or sixth
