Plus... it's not like whatever contract he signed doesn't already include a clause stating in the event of European Revolt, you will be Regenerated.

Exactly. You just know they screentested him to death before giving him the part. Every tone and emotion, every kind of story.

Besides, with Moffat's great writing, they could probably put ANYBODY in the role and it would work.
