I wonder how all those people who were waiting for RTD to leave and Moffat to come along and "fix" the series are feeling now?
Fuck you Moffat. Great way to ruin my year.
Dear God, the last time I saw a forehead like that, it was on the guy who'd discovered fire. He reminds me of Peter Boyle in 'Young Frankenstein'
Lazy choice by the Beeb - a chance to really shake up the character and they're sucking up to their young girl audience.
Pity.

I see big forehead, squinty eyes.
Great pic and he not started yet so people quit your whiny fanboy antics![]()
This is the Internet: you can't not have an opinion. Plus people can have opinions of his age, and the fact that he looks vaguely like David Tennant (in the sense of "also has a face," I guess), both of which will obviously be vital to the quality of his performance.I think it's funny how people who've never seen him in anything, already have such a strong opinion of him. I'm happy enough to wait and see what he's like in 2010 before I judge.
Moffat has dropped the ball. Each new actor to play the Doctor has always managed to bring their own experience to the role to echo all the previous actors who came before. And this new kid has... what experience? What revealed talent? He's a month younger than me! And not a single notable role to his name. Oh god, I'd rather have Catherine Zeta Jones.
What Brendan said.
Now the Doctor's younger than I am. I'm feeling old. :/
Yeah. I'm sure Moffat wants to bring something genuinely new to the programme, and he wouldn't cast an actor who he didn't think could manage that. Maybe in 2010 I'll believe he's wrong, but for now I'm going to assume he hasn't been allowed to make the biggest mistake ever.If Moffat says that Smith has a "bold and brand new take" on the Doctor, it's really all I need to know. "Bold and brand new" sums up what a regeneration should be.
